Re: Homer to Lisa: "Never Help Anyone"

Did you tie a string to the Vibe when you gave it away? NO?

Then it isn't (and hasn't been for 4 years) YOUR Vibe.

Gasoline vs E85

Interesting test results. It actually COSTS MORE to run the "cheaper" ethanol.

Really nice!!!

And, proof that you don't need a 100 inch motor to tour. I have an NT700V Honda and a 400 cc Yamaha Majesty. Both do just fine with two up.

Keep that little Honda forever. Don't ever let it get away.

Must be that most Toyota products are made in America, while the Ford and GM vehicles are made in Mexico or Canada.

The Water Removal Additive sounds like HEET, which is just alcohol. A tank of E10 would do the same thing, but I wouldn't run it all the time.

Re: Trailer wiring with cig lighter?

You could probably do it that way. I ran the heavy red wire that came with the kit to the battery, with with the included fuse. Takes a little longer, but the wiring is now "out of sight, out of mind".

Re: tire pressure monitoring system

Jumped in the Vibe last night and drove about 20 miles to a neighboring town to see a movie. About half way there, the TPMS light came on. "Must be the drop in temperature" I thought. This morning, I went out to check the tires and found the left rear at about 10 lbs. Blew it up to 32 and the warnin...

My Vibe Goes on Vacation

My Vibe went on vacation and took my wife and I along. We drove from northeast Iowa to Rapid City SD. The Vibe traveled 1438 miles and got 28.8 mpg at 75 mph on I-90 and a LOT on fun, twisty roads and hills around Rapid City. Besides the two of us, we had one BIG suitcase, a cooler, laptop bag and 3...

I took mine in a couple of weeks ago for the free oil and filter change. They wanted to do the floor modification and pedal chop job, too. I told to leave it to hell alone and just do the service.

Re: (gimmegimme)

I had mine done yesterday. I talked to the service manager for quite awhile because I had reservations, but I went ahead with it. The pedal seems a little touchier, and it JUMPS away from a light. There is no, or very little, movement before it reacts. Just have to get used to it.

From this forum. Somewhere else on here is a post by someone who had actually visited the factory 4 or 5 years ago. I GOT MY VIBE'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Following the lead I got from an old post, I emailed tours@nummi.com and asked for a "birth certificate" for my Vibe. I sent the VIN along with the request. The request was made on March 11 and today I got the following in return email.

This is my first post to the GenVibe Forums. I bought a 2010 Vibe three weeks ago, and the lack of a cargo cover was a surprise. Following the lead of a couple of other members, I made my own. The 2010 (and probably other years) have mounts around the top of the cargo area for the folding factory ca...
