Re: 2009 Vibe Steering Rattle

I addressed this issue with a friend of mine yesterday who is a region service tech for GM. We found that GM's catalogue does not show the updated shaft listed in Toyotas TSB. In his words, Toyota stopped support for GM after GM pulled out of Nummi. He said Vibe issues have become very challenging w...

Not sure what your stock total diameter was but my '09 with 17" stock wheels came with 215/45/17. I just put on Continental extreme contact DWS's and am very pleased. There are several tire size calculators online to compare your stock diameter to other options.

Re: Would a 2009 Vibe radio unit fit in a 2005 Vibe? And another question radio-related (Eloi)

The dash cutout on a 2009 is oddly shaped at each corner. This is why I would doubt a '09 radio would fit a pre-gen Vibe. This is also why you need an adapter bracket when installing after market single din and double din head units in the '09+ Vibes

Re: HELP! 2009 Pontiac Vibe Aftermarket Head Unit Install (bosk)

Pretty sure I used 70-2105 ( listed as '07+ Monte Carlo I think) it had everything except for one power wire that I chose to wire directly to the car's harness. It does not retain onstar.Unless you have the stock sub in the cargo area you have no factory amp.

Metra makes both standard and double din install kits that fill the areas you are concerned about. As long as the new radio supports steering wheel inputs you can buy an adapter from PAC, I think is the name, to retain those controls.

The plain old metra harness mentioned in the other posts works fine. It's so simple, it's really not worth talking about, there's nothing tricky involved. Just match up the wires and plug it in. You will need to directly wire one of the power wires that is not included in the metra harness.
