Electrical problem?

Been having some problems with the electrical I think.The thing is that the headlights and other acc dim when I us ethe heater on High.Yes I know that the draw will cause some dimming lol .The thing is that the blower motor works on and off and sometimes have to give it a little tap to get it to go....

Went outside today to see where the starter was located at ,found it then gave it a couple of taps with a hammer and the car started.So I'm guessing like everyone else has suggested thats its the starter.Going to call around today to see if anyone here in town has one.

hey junglejim,I had a problem with my 03 with a sound coming from the rearend as I accelerated .I found out it was my muffler assembly .I had my wife stand outside as I reved up the engine .I would try that first.

I've had the same problem with my Vibe I tried the SS for 8 months and blew 3 of them went back to the OEMs and there still workin fine.So were lookin at more than 5 years with the OEM headlights.I'm maybe lookin at some HIDs but if the bulbs don't last whats the point right.

I have the same problem with my Vibe 03 AWD , it takes a few tries to start when its below - 20 ,the car seems to start then it stops running and tries again , it cranks over then seems to start and then stops . I was doing some regular mat. on my 03 tonight and noticed there was some oil on the sparkplug thing (dont know what its called lol) I was wondering if that was normal or do I need to take it in?Its been awhile since I've been here but I'm glad to see the site is still going strong.

Well,I guess the GM tech was wrong it wasn't the resonator .because I had it changed( it only cost 720 not the 1000 I was quoted before)and it still made that sound so now I have to bring back the car on Monday so that another tech can look at it.Will keep you informd.

I switched to Mobil 1 0w30 as soon as I gto it home from the dealer and have been running it ever since .I live in extreme weather ,it can hit temps in the -40 to -75 with the windchill and I have the car starting without a problem,once I got the battery changed but thats a whole another story.

I had to go to my local toyota dealer to get the T4 tranny fluid for my 2003 Vibe and since its a toyota anyway if you can't get the right fluid at your loacl GM dealer go to the nearest toyota dealer,
