No - the car doesn't sit and we keep replacing the rotor. I thought a loose caliber - but he says caliber is fine. Definitely could be a warped rotor - convinced him to try a different brand for a change. Hopefully that works.

This is going to seem completely boring compared to all the awesome brake upgrades.... I have a 2003 VibeGT which I love. Last year my mechanic - whom I trust - replaced front pads and rotors. Since then we have replaced the front right rotor 4 times. A week to a month after installing the brake sta...
'03 Vibe GT Man 6 speed. If I stay to 55 on hwy I get 34-36mpg. 65 = 32-33mpg. Regular 50/50 city/hwy I get 30mpg every fill-up. And when I say city - I mean New York City so you are going SLOW.
Hi- do you still have parts available? I'm looking for a right rear exterior door handle. Also would be interested in a tightening knob for the roof rack. If the gear shift knob is clean I'll take it (the chrome on mine is pitted) Also interested in the entire rear hatch. Shipping to 11215. Thx!
Hi All--Just to blow your gaskets -- I get 41mpg hwy with my 03 Vibe GT (6 spd manual). But here's the catch -- to do that I set the cruise control at 55mph. I tried it once diving 2 hours out Long Island (nice and flat) and the second time was a 4 hour run from New Jersey to outside of Binghamton N...
Hi-Sounds like most of this car is gone. I need a handful of odds and ends -- d/s f plastic wheel well, rear wiper assembly, outside/inside vent assembly (behind glove box), d/s pwr window switch plate, knob for roof rack slider, etc. Any of that sound possible? I'll be out in your area Dec 18 and c...
My 2003 GT started making chugging "muffler" noises around 100K but coming from engine area. Out of town mechanic said it was a very unusual cracked manifold. My regular mechanic replaced the round gasket where the manifold drops down from the engine to meet the tailpipe. That did the tric...
Hey--I know you posted this like 7 years ago but it still helping folks out. I just used your instructions to swap out my rear speakers and it went great. Thanks a million!
I'm afraid I don't know which brake cables finally worked.I used to think there was some kind of law about 10 years on parts. from what I googled that appears not to be true. they can stop making parts the day after you buy it, I think.
I had to replace my L & R rear parking brake cables for a 2003 GT FWD. Pontiac has discontinued the part and there's no cross reference to the Toyota part #. Luckily my mechanic got the (pissed off) Toyota guy to keep sending cables till we got the right one. Anyone else encounter this problem? ...
