Drivers Door Switch Plate -- How is it attached?

The Window switches and Door Lock Buttons push down into the door when I push on them.Does anyone know how the panel the switches are mounted into is attached? Is it glued or are there clips holding it. Will I break something else by prying it up or should I remove the entire interior door panel?

You can get one from a Toyota dealer. Pontiac may have them as well. Here'e a lint to the Matrix Accessories page, the pet screen is about 2/3 of the way down on the right. It uses the cargo tracks for mounting. http://www.toyota.com/matrix/a...ORIESTire chains:http://www.tirechain.com/

I had a '99 Z-28 6-spd. Loved the car but didn't really drive it that much as I also had an '01 ZR2 4x4 pickup. I decided I really didn't need two vehicles with the resulting high insurance bills, taxes, maintainence, etc. I sold both of them and replaced them with my Matrix.

Not a good idea -- in most cars the electric fuel pump is located on the bottom of the gas tank. The pump depends on having some quanity of gas in the tank to cool the pump. Running the tank too low can cause the fuel pump to overheat and seize. Replacement requires dropping the fuel tank -- I know ...

You need to get the reddish coating off first.
