Re: Sold the Vibe

Is it a hatchback so you can go camping and stuff - how is the insight in snow without 4 wd? Not sure. Never used the AWD on the Vibe; the two winters I had her weren't bad ones at all. Nice car! What's the cargo space like in that thing compared to the Vibe? From KBB: Vibe - 54.1 cu ft Insight - 1...

Sold the Vibe

After two years, four months, 15 days and 42,000 miles I finally sold my 2004 AWD. Nothing wrong with her just that at 105,000 miles it was probably the last time I'd get a decent trade in value for her (I got $5400). Plus I wanted better MPG, not that the 27-29 I was getting was horrible. So since ...

You can take it off but AFAIK it won't look "neat." There will be mounting holes on the roof you'll have to cover up.

Here's an update. After two weeks with the Snapshot device off I had my Vibe reinspected and this time it passed with no problems. Though its only circumstantial, I believe that the Snapshot device will cause issues in the '04 Vibe when it comes to emissions testing.

I drive 300 miles a week easily, in all types of driving conditions. I also haven't had a check engine or any warning light. The only reason I can think of it being the Snapshot device is because that is literally the only thing that has changed since my last emissions inspection.

PA Emissions Failure - Not Ready for Testing

I went to get my PA Emissions Testing today and my '04 Vibe failed emissions testing. The reason they gave was the OBD said "Not Ready for Testing." The usual reason is because of a dead battery recently but I've had no such problems. I haven't had any power issues with my Vibe recently or...
