Re: Radio goes out

This is my second Vibe and the first one never did this. I wish I would've taken a picture of the other designs the display showed. If I had been more sleep-deprived I would've thought it was aliens.

Re: Radio goes out

Weirdly enough all the buttons still worked. The screen didn't change no matter what I did though. I turned the radio off and it continued to show weird designs on the screen. It seems it's just the display.

Re: vibenvy's Garage - 2009 Liquid Platinum Metallic Vibe GT

Ugggggh yours looks so much prettier than mine and I am jealous. Mine has 114K miles on it because I've driven the crap out of it. My paint looks horrible! I swear my Vibe attracts every one else's car doors. And my headlights have faded horribly. (my signature picture is old) Can I just keep lookin...

Re: Wrecked one, bought one!

I just resurrected my account on here. Two and a half years later and this car is still going strong! I love how low maintenance Vibes are. I now live in Colorado and really want a bigger 4wd car, but I can't quite stand to part with my GT Vibe. Cheers! :D

Radio goes out

I have an '09 Vibe GT. Has anyone else had their radio do weird things when it's cold out? I lived in Iowa last year and every now and then my car radio would go black in the winter. Granted the windchill was -40. Now I'm living in Colorado and the radio acts weird sometimes. The other day I got a f...

No lights have come on. That would make it easier to understand though!

I'll have to give what you suggested a try. Thanks for your help!

'09 GT Reduction of Power

I have an '09 GT Vibe that's been frustrating me. I recently moved from flat Iowa to Colorado Springs (elevation over 6k). With the change in elevation the car has lost its GT pep. I searched online about this and found mixed opinions. Has anyone driven their Vibe at higher elevations? Is there anyt...

Re: Weird Marks on Front Bumper

Did they use a clay bar when detailing? I heard the Vibes didn't have paint that held up well over the years. Personally I'm having my hood/front bumper repainted soon... but mine is an 06'. I've heard the same thing about the paint on the older Vibes. The paint on my '03 was literally perfect unti...

Weird Marks on Front Bumper

My car's front bumper was in perfect shape when I bought the car over two months ago. Then, I took three roadtrips and drove it over 30 hours in 2 weeks. I'm embarassed to say it, but I left a ton of bug guts on the front bumper for a few weeks after all my driving. I detailed my car the other day, ...

Re: Wrecked one, bought one!

Thanks, guys! I was quite surprised my '09 didn't have a sunroof. I'm cool with not worrying about it leaking in the future, which is nice, but my '03 had a sunroof and was the base model. I do miss it a little bit. I've also noticed some features were taken away, at least on my specific '09. The fo...

Wrecked one, bought one!

I very sadly wrecked my '03 Vibe (base model) in a t-bone collision. I didn't want to sink hundreds of dollars into the car to fix it, so I used it as a trade-in...for a new Vibe. I upgraded to an '09 GT with barely-legal tinted windows and 18" TSW wheels. My '03 NEVER failed me, and still ran ...

Daaaaang! I've never seen 20" rims on a Vibe before, but I like it! The interior looks pretty sweet too. Awesome job with the car

Re: (chapstickaddict)

Your story sounds like mine!I'm a starving college student and I was looking for a dependable car a while back. I found an '03 Vibe with 113K miles on it, and the person selling it wanted $6500 for it. I also knew that was a bit over the bluebook value, but the car was in like-new shape. The guy sel...

Re: Loud noise when idling cold (star_deceiver)

My car is an automatic, and the noise is audible when I take it out of park and into drive, reverse, etc., but it isn't audible when the car is moving. Thanks!!

Loud noise when idling cold

I have an '03 Vibe, base model and stock, with 131K miles on it. The car makes a really loud noise, like a loud vibration, when I start the car in cold weather. The noise subsides when the car is moving, but as soon as I stop and am idling, the noise comes back. It goes away completely after the eng...

Re: TEAM ABYSS: Post your Abyss ONLY Vibe Pics Here (ZubenElGenubi)

I'm new here...My car has stayed pretty dirty all winter, so I only have one picture of it. It may not be the best looking one out there, but I love my Vibe It's an '03 base model with 122K miles on it, and I've only had it for a few months.

AC/Heat won't turn off

Sorry if this has already been discussed somewhere. I tried searching for it and couldn't find anything about it.I have an '03 Vibe with 122K miles on it. It was in great condition when I bought it a couple of months ago, but things have gone slightly downhill since then. I've recently had a problem...
