rockers had indeed thrown from 4 valves. I'd like to see pictures of this :? Why would they just jump off like that? :( Only way would be if something came loose to where they no longer were tight in place, OR that enough wear & tear made them sloppy to where they could no longer stay in place....

Your mileage is around 168,000 miles ... correct? If you have one of the few oil burning engines you may see a slightly less efficiency report otherwise you're not too far off where you should be. Had to perform the "cable tie" method of securing the splash/stone shield under the front of my son's 2009 Vibe GT. He drove around awhile before noticing it and damaged it pretty good. Will have to attempt to get original clips/rivets along with cable ties to re-secure it better in a few ...

Update: local garage managed to straighten the steering wheel and clear the VSC light; however, clunking is still an issue. The front end is solid, with no loose components. Technician still suspects intermediate shaft... So even though you already replaced it, your mechanic says to change it again...

2nd gen Vibes are similar to what you're experiencing except that it is purely linear from 0- top end. When driving an honest 60 the dash speedo shows 62. This is with the stock RSA tires on my 2009 Vibe Gt.

Tale care your local GM dealer doesn't break one of the alignment tabs on your HVAC/radio panel. Mine did and the part no longer fits snugly into the dash. Oh, and it's discontinued by GM, too. If you plan on wrenching on cars (Vibe & others) for several years & then some, then this assortment kit would be worth the few $$$. Plus you could then order the EXACT fastener once you know the correct size/fit and you'll already have the pry tool!
