Nice work so far ;) I've used those RGB's with a generator before (allows you to choose colors,patterns & speeds of the LED's) and the sky is the limit as for applications. Looking forward to how it looks at night time. Post night pics soon!

Bypassing the switch altogether? Yes .... as long as you're the only or primary driver. If this is a big salvage yard they likely have a separate building for storing engine & transmissions only. By pulling them from the car they can store them and are more readily available to sell complete on short notice.

There is no car-fax reports available for the car, and vin # wasn't provided over the phone. Interesting. I thought it was required by law to report a totalled car to all agencies/parties. Simple answer ... NO there is nothing posted in the owners manual about changing the fluid. It merely states to "check it" and add fluids as needed.

I'll have to check the "Helms" manuals to see if the wiring harness/connectors to the mirrors INCLUDES a defrost circuit. I'm guessing NOT!
