I bought my Vibe brand new in 2007 and currently have 230K on it. Gave it to my son, and he hit a deer with it. Had to replace the whole front end and pull out the frame. Ouch !!! Very common in my area with Deer hitting us drivers too :o How much did it set you back? Insurance claim? Oh to stay on...

R-134A started being used in automotive applications with the '93 model year, pretty much just Chrysler products back then. Ford & GM followed the next year I believe. So if it's 25 years or less they would likely be 134a gauges

Welcome to GenVibe JAC! Your location could play an important part in the type of oil used also as well as your driving type/habits. Thicker oil in a very cold climate would not be good on start-ups. they had a 05-08 cluster with 7 miles! Even more amazing, they sold it to me for $35! Definitely post pics of that mileage when you get it installed. Must have been off of a wrecked Vibe from years back that got damaged during a test drive perhaps? Nice find though and hope the swap goes as planned!

Dropped my "redneck" oil catch pan from under the Vibe GT the other day. Needs an oil change and will change out the CV halfshaft axles so it was in the way. Amazingly this thin pan that I fabricated did exactly what I designed it to do ........ catch the drops of oil that leak from the timing chain...

Interesting mounting arrangement :? Does other dash functions/features interfere with the screen protruding and covering things up? That doesn't look very secure and certainly invites theft :o Curious to see side profile pics. Glad it was a success for you and that it works as planned

2006 Vibe that just grenaded the c59 transmission. Bearing at shaft disintegrated and caused all sorts of gear chipping/debris. So the motor mounts act like a sponge and absorb water (when driving through rain/snow) and then slowly releases the moisture from shock/bumps over several miles to where it oozes out as shown in your pics? Never seen anything like that before :o

Just ordered Pass side CV halfshaft axle from RockAuto (Cardone 665230, lifetime warranty $70.39). A buddy of mine is getting me the drivers side who works at Advance. I'll post the results of this needed repair soon ;)

Regarding the shaking. Note the exact conditions. Mine was the CV axel. It would shake under engine load. You really felt it at speeds greater than 50mph. Pedal on, whole front end shook.
