Re: Been a long while since I've shared my GT

Nice to see you post again Dave! I remember your Vibe because it's the same color as my mom's (Steel Blue Metallic)! I am so jealous of this color. It's gorgeous! I will most definitely join your site and add the info about mine and my mom's Vibes. Thanks for posting the info about it ;)! Aw...

Re: Been a long while since I've shared my GT

Checked out your ride page there Dave. Looks like a newer automotive posting site for all to use. Your Vibe looks real clean and well maintained. What's your mileage up to? I see you're running the original 18" wheels in the winter weather. Hopefully you keep them clean so the salt (depending ...

Yea she's pretty much stock. I did throw a K&N Air Intake on it thinking it adds horsepower and improves gasmileage. I've since watched a few videos where they pretty much mythbusted that theory. Still makes it sound pretty cool though.

Been a long while since I've shared my GT

Just thought I'd share my baby again since it's been a couple years since I've posted it. 2_1_635203538895620000_size5.jpg Kept getting "attachment is too large" and not really feeling like resizing all of my images so here's a link to a full detail profile of my vibe with a bunch of image...

Quote, originally posted by ponta2147 »According to the K&N Website itself (under Toyota Matrix) it adds 9.06hp @ 5026 RPM... that's pretty good for just changing one simple thing! The one that fits my husband's GT would only add 5-6hp according to them... so yay, they made a good one for us. y...

Well took me about an hour and a half. Took my time and had a small battle with the screw for the mounting bracket on the sensor (Screw head almost stripped out till i found the right size phillips head). I have to say there's a very noticeable gain in power and when your around 3500 to 5500 rpms it...

I have the same rattle in the driver side dash area. I usualy have the radio on too, but would still like to fix it. sounds like its common enough that we're all probably dealing with the same part rattling. If someone figures it out, it'd be crazy cool if you share the fix.

How hard is it to install the K & N Intake on the GT? Ive looked and it seems like the strut bar and the big black plastic housing would make it really hard to connect the intake housing. Any way you can explain what all you had to remove to be able to install it?

Well I tried to get it off with some Never Dull Wheel polish, but had no luck. I basicaly just rubbed the spots with good amount of pressure for a min or so but it doesnt appear to be helping. Could they be clear coated? It does almost seem like the white is underneath something. Are the stock wheel...

White spots on my aluminum wheels?

I went to the car wash today and when I came out to dry and inspect my car i noticed some white spots on the rims. I tried to rub them off and even tried the old fingernail scratch, but it seems like its stained into the metal or something. Anyone know what this is and what i can do about it? I have...

My Steel Blue 2009 Vibe GT

Bought this because my girlfriend's truck broke down, so I gave her mine and needed an affordable car with cargo room and decent gas mileage. I've never been into cars, but this vibe is just sick, im totally in love with it. It's a stock GT, but with the 2.4 its fast as hell.
