My 2004 Lava Vibe just turned 179,000 miles today. I took him in recently to get detailed, and two people asked me if he was for sale. Absolutely NOT!!! lol Best car I have ever owned BY FAR!!!
Hit 155,000 on my 2004 Lava last night! He will be ten years old (date I purchased him) on January 12!!!!!!!! Yes, he was made in 2004 and sat on the lot for months until I rescued him!!! (or he rescued me!!!!)
What a sweet family fleet! Thanks for posting!!!! By the way, a close friend had a Mazda 3 and had way more problems than I have had with my Vibe (I have had NONE). He traded in his Mazda for a Honda Civic--they wanted a new car and that's unfortunately not possible with the Vibe any more. Besides, ...

128,430 on my 2004 Lava Vibe, purchased new in Jan. 2005. It sat on the lot for almost a YEAR until I rescued it!!!!!!!! Have had no mechanical issues with it, only routine maintenance.
Hello All, I haven't been on here in a while--not since the new "look"--I am a lurker and the proud owner of a 2004 Lava Vibe with 127,000+ and no complaints about my Vibe. I would love to meet anyone and everyone at a get together in Pontiac, Illinois. I would think the tourist bureau wou...
Congratulations on your "new" Lava Vibe!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it a great hue???? So happy to hear that your little Vibe is finally going to get the Lovin' it so dearly deserves! It never ceases to amaze me how badly some people treat their cars. When I see a mistreated Vibe, I almost CRY!!!!!!!...
This is one of the most awesome things I have ever read/seen on this site! Thank you for sharing the joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep on Vibin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PS: I will be putting my lights on tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, I paid $119 and I took it to an independent mechanic shop. I made sure they had the correct Toyota transmission fluid. My little Vibe is running well--he was before he had it done, as well. His transmission fluid was just dirty! Not now!Keep on Vibin'!!!!!!!!!!!
I had my Vibe's transmission drained and refilled. It took about an hour and everything seems to be fine. Thank you again for all of your expertise and assistance in this matter, I truly appreciate your help!!!!! Keep on Vibin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear djkeev, Thank you so much for your time and expertise. I truly appreciate your thorough explanation and rationale. I apologize for not investigating the forum more for an answer. I plan to make an appointment with the independent mechanic this week for a draining of the transmission fluid, and ...
Hi All, Thank you in advance for reading this and any advice you can give... please forgive me for not being an auto mechanic or expert, just a Vibe owner and lover! That's why I am asking you all! Here's the story... I took my 2004 Vibe (automatic transmission, 115,000 miles) in for an oil change a...
Thank you for sharing your pictures--life is more fun in a Vibe, eh? Thank you for the inspiration to take a long trip in a good Vibe!Take care, Keep on Vibin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Please don't take offense, but isn't it amazing how many "mature" drivers drive a Vibe? I constantly flash my "V" (peace sign!) to older drivers who disregard what an incredibly cool car they chose. I ask people how cool the Vibe is and they say, "way cool" but, for the...
I just checked KBB a month ago, and my little 2004 Lava Vibe has gone up over $1000 in value in two years. I asked a used-car dealer friend about this, and they said, "when we get a Vibe in, we can't keep it on the lot"!!!!!!!! Vibe Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just thought I would let you know... I was following a car that ran over debris in the road. The debris flew back on to my bumper, and I also ran over it. The debris made a hole in my front lower bumper and ripped the cover under the front of my precious little Vibe.I turned the claim into my insura...
I got one last year in the Fall, because I KNOW I have done two oil changes on it already and didn't get the last one done there, so several months now... anyway, it all worked--no sweat! Didn't cost me a dime (except for the sad feeling that Pontiac is really gone... )
Laugh if you'd like, but I saw a torn up Vibe recently, and I can't imagine doing that to my Vibe. I actually stood there for a moment and thought, "what if he had had an owner like me (or like us on the genvibe forum)?" It was a sad sight--scratches and dents all over, not a wreck, but ne...
If I see you I will give you the V as in the "Vibe Power V" I give to all Vibes on the road. And, no other driver has ever given me the V back, and act totally disinterested that we are driving the same car. The other day, on an interstate, I pulled up to an identical Vibe in the other lan...
I am at 98000, and, God willing, I have had nothing go wrong with my Vibey. I have had oil changes every 3000 miles and routine maintenance. I bought my car new with 24 miles on it. I still love my Vibe and enjoy driving it every day! And my door handles are just fine, but will keep the potential pr...
