Re: (woodyg)

Thanks! I have a 2 wheel drive 2005. Question: I had my Drive Train Control module replaced when it failed last year at no cost. Is this Engine Control Module a different item?

Re: Vibe/Matrix Antenna (06pvibe)

Maybe I have a weird sense of humor but when I look at the antenna coming of the top of my vibe, it reminds me of the old bumper cars that that the sparking electric connector at the top of a mast. I kind of feel like I'm tooling around town in a way cool bumper car.

Re: Overfilling at Gas Pump (SmAshley)

My '05 shuts the gas nozzle off almost immediately when I begin filling. I have to pull the nozzel out so that I can see the metal on the nozzel and the catch wire on the nozel is just barely on the ring around the filler. So I have almost the exact opposite problem. I just pull it back, lock it down...

Re: Need Help changing my passenger side mirror (ou.grizzly)

We replaced the side mirror on the Vibe out in the driveway. The aftermarket Mirror was right around $50. and looks exactly like the 2005 Vibe original equipement. Its easy, so don't be afraid to try it yourself.

Re: IN Viber rams police car (joatmon)

Gees Louise, didn't this guy love his Vibe? I'd grab the S10 if I was going to ram something. All kidding aside, I wonder how the passenger compartment held up to this kind of crash. It doesn't look like it crumbled, as they top wasn't cut off to extricate the guy.Anybody been in a front end collisi...

Re: The Battery Issue (ArcsVibe)

I feel like a flippin genius! I bought a 2005 in 2008 with 38K. One of the first things I do with a "new" used car is take it to Sears and put the biggest, baddest Diehard they can put into it. I just hate sitting on the side of the road... don't you? Oh, and No I don't work for Sears. I j...

I hope there is an "Obeywan Kanobe" that is wiser than I. I know it's part of the drive train, and was covered under that warranty.

Re: Windshield Freezing on INTERIOR (Whelan)

Or run your Defroster. This uses the AC which can be used in colder tems. I've got a 2005 in WI and never had this problem, but I run the AC (with the temp up) to dry out the air in the car.Best of luck. In the olden days, we'd keep a credit type card in the car to scrape the inside window while dri...

Re: 06 Vibe needs PCM - on national backorder? (firevibe)

Mine went while I was at a drive thru near a dealership. I took it in and 25 minutes later, it was fixed and there was no charge. They said it was still under warantee. But I have to ask: If they are out of this part in your state, this sounds like more of a Recall than a Warrenty issue. But I looke...

Re: is your Vibe ageing gracefully? (tots)

My 05 looks good as new. I'm loving the satellite color that really hides dirt & dust till I'm ready to wash it. Its got 68K on it. Does anyone know when I should change the spark plugs? 100K? I put 200+K on my cars, so I'm looking for the long term return.I'm a fan of GM in general and Pontiac ...
