Called Toyota (Toyota Town in London, ON) today for a price on the Actuator for the fresh air vent (They refer to it as a Damper Servo). They quoted me $207.40 just for the part with no installation.I then called GM (Brian Finch) and they quoted me $68.40 big difference there. I then called back Toy...
Glad I found this mine just started doing this at 79K, taking the dash board apart doesn't sound like too much fun Are you guys sure you need to take the dash off? There must be some way to get a socket on that head and then use a small wrench?
I just got back from the dealership and the job they did was a lot better, but I can still see imperfections in the clearcoat but I'm not that picky. I know it sounds otherwise. The guy at the bodyshop did give me the rest of the paint though. The bottle is about the size of the 4th one in from the ...
Thanks Nova Resource, I will definatly look into that link. I will see how much paint the body shop guy gives me when I go in there today to get my car.Another case of GM dealership wow is this a vibe phenomenon!!!
quote:With the "mono-tone" vibes having this clear tape on the lower cladding tells me that this is a known problem with the vibe. I too have the same clear tape on the lower cladding. And when I went into the dealership to repair some scratches that the wife installed over the weekend, th...
My wife parks our car underground and the other day she was pulling out of the spot and decided she would drive thru it instead and she ran the right rear side of the car along a pole. The car doesn’t even have 2000k on it yet. Luckily the damage was very minor scratches to the plastic trim over t...
I too have the tape. But it looks fine to me and I have no intentions of taking it off. I don't have any problems with mine though. (i.e. peeling off or bubbles).
My brother in law has Goodyear Eagle RS-A P205/55R16's on his car and just the other day he notice he had a cut in the side wall from who knows what. The point of the story is though, that when he went to buy a new left front tire no matter where he goes they run $190 - $240 Canadian a tire. That ju...
quote:Hey here we almost have no choice, you have to carry the washer fluid in the car just in case!Store it in your room, there is no problem with that!A 4 liter bottle of washer fluid lies down perfectly on top of the spare tire and the lid will close.
quote:However did you pay "administration fees" when you purchased the car?I'm not sure? That is pretty bad, and when I look at my bill of sale I don't see any listed. I'm not sure, would it be on the bill of sale?I guess I'm trying to say, No I don't think I payed any administaration fee.
I went back to the dealership tonight and the guy that usually does it wasn't there, but my salesman had the guy show him how to do it before he went home, so that I could go after 6:00pm. It was the simplest thing that I have ever seen. The serial numbers come on a sheet of 12 and they are blue rec...
quote:whered you get the pamplet at?? sounds like a good deal for the consumer/It came with the car. And I guess after calling the the number on the front of it, they do the windows etching at the dealership. When I bought my car the dealership they didn't even have it entered into stock, So I think...
I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this feature on their car. Supposedly with all new GM cars they have a serial number etched on all the windows so that if you car gets stolen the thief would have to replace all the windows in the car which is very expensive. My brother in-laws Vibe sti...
quote:Welcome to Genvibe Ontario person!Describe your car. What options were on it? I finally got some pictures of my car. My wife and I had originally picked the car in the same colour, but with a sunroof, power windows and 16" alloys. But when we heard that it would be 4-5 months to get one, ...
I was just glancing over my owners manual and noticed that according to the manual GT owners with the 1.8L (L code engine) are required to use 91 octane or higher. I don't know about you people but owning the Base vibe with the Code 8 engine and using 87 octane or higher at 83 cents a liter at curre...
I was just wondering, I have noticed that when I go into any forum topic that it only lists the first 5-10 posts. At the bottom it says, "Show active threads from last: Use default". You can select all the way from Default-to-All. Is there anyway to make "All" the default. I want...
Oh and I forgot to say hi everyone. I just got my Vibe on the 3rd of this month and I love it. I was about to buy my third Volkswagen when I walked onto the local GM lot and there it was. The dealers son had ordered it and was tired of the 5 month wait. He ended up buying a Sunfire and I ended up bu...
Found this picture while looking for Vibe pictures. I don't think that dealers or salvage yards should be able to sell cars like this. My brother in law bought a 1995 Volkswagen Golf that had been in a similar accident but didn't know that the car was written of by the insurance company of the previ...
