Starter grinds when cold start

My 2009 Vibe GT starter makes a grinding noise only when cold start. The noise (for a brief second) sounds like you try to start the car while engine is running. Does anyone know the location of the starter relay? Same grinding noise from the video.

Rear defogger in My 2009 Vibe GT will not shut off until you manually turn it off. However, the defogger switch is on, but the rear window does not clear. Can the light (on the switch) stay on even though the defogger relay is bad?

I replaced the clutch with LUK clutch set. Everything went well. Now, the clutch seems to engage as soon as I release the pedal (less than 1" of the floor). I'll bleed the clutch, but any adjustment in the clutch cable for this issue?

look up a belt for that vehicle and see if it uses a different length belt. it's also likely the vibe AC compressor is a different size than the xB AC Compressor, and that different pulley size could be the issue. 2009 Vibe GT 5sp manual with 135k miles. Low oil and spun a rod bearing. Rod cap came off and put a hole in the block. This happened after 3,000 mile oil change.

trying to disconnect the O2 sensor 4-way connector yesterday and couldn't able to do it. It's one hand operation, trying to push down the locking tab and at the same time pulling the connector but could not able to do it so I gave up after one hour. Any suggestion?

I've a 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4L base. I'm the only driver of this vehicle. I adjust seat to the highest position, but it seems to drift down by itself. So every few days, I've to adjust the seat again. This happens since I purchased the car 6 months ago. Have similar issue?

Piston should move in and out freely and doesn't take that much effort to compress it. If it requires a huge effort, then your piston is seized up. You can rebuild it or get another caliber.

Got two new front Monroe quick struts. This time, I added a little lockite and torqued it to 22ft lbs.

29ft lbs is way too high Monroe upper strut bolts. OEM got to be using harden steel studs.

Is those top three strut mount bolts serviceable? Look like they welded to the mount. I used Monroe quick struts on my SUV and Pontiac Vibe, but won't buy them again.

I have a squeak from the rear compartment, but could not able to pin-point the location. The more I listen to it, the sound seems like from the latch. Do anyone have similar problem? Mine is under 4000 miles.

you should be fine. i changed oil in my car the first time this week. the manual says 4 qrts, but after I poured in 4 qrts and checked the oil level . It is about 1/3 inch over the level indicator. you don't have to worry about it.

I just purchased a 2009 GT Vibe with 5 speed auto with 500 miles on it so far. It seems like every time I give it a little gas, the transmission downs shift before it accelerates. Is this normal? Also, the brake rotors wear rough...Is it caused by the brake pads? Sure, it has a lot of brake dusts......
