TPMS Reset Button

Where is it on the 2010 Vibe? I can't find it to push and reset the system.

Re: (HawaiiPontiacLover)

Had 126,000 on our 2003 Salsa when I traded it in. Have 8,000 on our steel blue 2010.

I believe the color is used by Scion as well. Our neighbor has one in a very similar color.

Re: (lowincash)

Monro did an oil change on my 1.8 2010 Vibe for the regular price with 5W20. The oil cap on the car says 5W20 or 0W20 energy conversing. The synthetic oil is like $8 a quart. The manual does say you can use either. Getting the insert filter wasn't a problem for them. My guess is that despite GM's co...

Re: (joejoev)

Our 2003 Vibe crossed 126,000 miles on the way to the dealership to be traded in. I believe it was sold to a dealership employee's college student age kid. No significant mechanical problems in seven years, which was also the case with our NUMMI-built 1994 Geo Prizm. The Prizm had 118,000 when it wa...

Re: What a strange color for a Vibe, what's it called? (epcIII)

My wife really wanted the Mystic Blue, but the color was discontinued for the 2010 model "year." We ended up getting Steel Blue instead. People notice that color as well.Someone in our building has a Mystic Blue Vibe AWD. It looks very nice in the sun, and is a color that stands out.

Re: (panchess)

A lot of times the rebates go away on "leftovers," so there actually become higher-priced at the dealers than the new models. There is also a natural inclination not to sell at a loss, even an "undesirable" model (I am guessing the 2007 and 2008 Vibe leftovers were stripped, stan...

Toyota had a free destination charge on the Matrix, so it was like $800 off.

Re: (Old Tele man)

GM still has the $2,500 rebate, or 0% financing with a claimed $4,606 in finance savings (I guess that is financing the maximum cost of a Vibe for six years at 8% or something. I got 4.69% for three years through State Farm Bank and have less than $1,000 total interest). Once you re-equip the Vibe w...

16,000 Pontiacs to go

..according to Automobile Magazine. GM thinks Pontiac might be in the history books by the end of November. Is it possible to know the last sold Pontiac? I would think the last built was the Vibe at NUMMI. According to a Pontiac spokesman, they are done producing, except for a couple for fleet contra...

Re: Local auto parts store chooses Vibe (SuperSpeedWagon)

Qwest, a medical lab in our region, and Honeywell, are two companies I know of that use Vibes as delivery/maintenance vehicles. They make a lot of sense for this purpose. A pharmacy and a carpet place use the Chevy HHR with the optional metal back instead of back windows. One strength of the Vibe pla...

Re: (Vibe_dude)

All of GM was unprofitable except SUV's in the "old days," that is why they went bankrupt.Having said that, getting a finished car from NUMMI that they could actually sell at a fair price (only at the end did the Vibe have big rebates. Most of the time the Vibe rebates were less than the C...

Re: (bondo123)

Perhaps, though with approximately 60,000 sales per year, the Vibe was a good seller for Pontiac. Dealers will tell you (if you look like you know what you are talking about) if a vehicle is a good seller or not. All of the ones I talked to are sad the Vibe is going.

Re: (IMakeVibes)

A problem the former Pontiac dealers have is product (most Pontiac dealers also sell Buick, it was the pairing preferred by GM). With Pontiac disappearing by the end of this year (they said 2010, but they aren't building any Pontiacs, so as a practical manner the inventory should be gone this fall a...

They quit making the Mystic Blue in late 2008, though it is a phemonenal color. One of the people at work has it. I like our steel blue one a lot, though.

Vibe outsells Buick in August...

..at least the Vibe is going out with increased sales, up 38% in August. The Vibe outsold the entire Buick division, 8,640 to 8,612, in the month. There is some logic somewhere why GM kept Buick and got rid of Pontiac. Where, I don't know.

Re: (vintagegz)

The "special" GM Card money is basically a rebate targeted to a specific group. The college grad, military and other similar rebates are effectively the same thing.I don't know the economics of the GM Card and how much of the 5% rebate is funded directly by GM. I do know it's a bigger &quo...

GM Card Sales

A lot of people who post here mention the GM Card as a reason for their purchase vis-a-vis a Toyota Matrix or some other car.Does GM or the GM Card release redemption sales in total or by model? Just curious if the Vibe (or any other GM model for that model) is the "favorite" of the GM Car...

I think the Vibe was a "good deal," but if it doesn't work for GM, why does it work for Toyota? I'd be surprised if they are losing money on the Matrix production.

Got the 2003 Vibe (lava) when I totalled our first NUMMI car, our 1994 Geo Prizm. The dealership was very quiet on September 11, 2002 when I bought it.Just got the 2010 Vibe (steel blue base 1.8) to replace it, so we'll be a NUMMI family for a while longer.I think they are the perfect second car, or...

I didn't include GM Card earnings because they depend on the individual and not the car. To the extent possible, I was trying to compare car against car as equally as possible. The all-wheel disk brakes are a nice addition, as is the traction control (though it hasn't rained hard enough to need it ye...

Re: Last Vibe currently being built (stans39)

Unlike a lot of "leftover" models, the Vibe seems to have plenty of demand at the end of its prematurely-ended lifecycle. After deducting the extra features on the new one (the 2003 I had didn't have the comfort package of power windows/locks, cruise control and keyless remote), I paid the...

Once the 2010's went on rebate, they began flying off the lots. The dealer in Albany (NY) had 10, and sold them in two days. We went 30 miles north to get one on the 8th, and that dealership is sold out too, except for a GT.My guess is that the Vibes -- and all the Pontiacs -- will basically be gone ...
