Scratching, dirt, etc. would be my concern about a traditional bra. I would definitely go with the 3M stuff. My concern for the PlastiDip is that it's not really made to protect anything, especially since the front end is going to get absolutely nailed by bugs, dirt, rocks, etc. whereas the 3M stuf...

Where is the manual release, under which trim panel, that let you get it out of park? Just in case I ever need to do this on mine. ;) I think it's supposed to line up with the little hole at the top of the trim panel (under the switch for the AC power outlet) so that nothing would need to be remove...

If you are only programming the key fob buttons, then yes - you can do it yourself. The programming instructions for the 03-08 vibes also should work on the 09-10 vibes.
