I haven't heard of Corollas having this issue. I owned a Corolla before I bought my 03' Vibe, but never experienced the odometer issue with the Corolla.

You got that right. Some egg head engineer in Japan really messed up the parameters of the odometer put into the Vibes and Matrix.

True, but like John stated, GM and Toyota should have issued a service bulletin and recall several years ago, and had this technical problem fixed at their cost. They messed up.

Dealing with Corporate GM is very frustrating, its like dealing with the Federal Government. I just received a call this morning from my local GM dealer, they said that they would go 50/50 on the cost of parts and labor. What do you think that I should tell them to get them to cover 100% of the parts and labor?

John: The feedback that I have got from GM so far, is that they will not cover the cost of replacing or resetting my Vibe odometer. Is GM paying the full cost of parts and labor for your new odometer?

I'm at 280,750 miles on my 2003 Vibe.

I'm at 269,494 miles on my 2003 Vibe.

I'm at 229,000 miles on my 03' Vibe. Original clutch, CV joints, and rear brake shoes! Replaced the water pump twice, once at about 100K, and then again at about 200K. And replaced one trans axle seal at about 120K.
