Still have it. The box is sitting out in the shop. I would offer it up to anyone that wants it, but shipping is gonna be rough. I'll most likely put the sub to use in the Camaro, if not in the Charger.

I guess I just got the itch for something new, with a little more room. We went to town for ice cream and came back with a new car! Mileage is supposed to be 18/27, so not that big of a difference, as I usually got 29-30 in the Vibe. There are also lots of options in the Charger, such as Garmin nav,...

Re: Complete Newbie Question (Pharylon)

Pull the trim around the headunit loose. It will still be hooked at the top. Swing the bottom out and lift up. It should come right out. You'll see the four screws that hold the headunit in. When (not if ) you drop one of the right side screws, you can pull the cubby out above the glove box to reach...

Re: Installing new amps need help with original amp wiring colors (7mac7)

I don't know if the pre 09's are the same, but the two connectors for the factory amp in my car have the same color wires as what is listed for the speaker wires. I would assume that the connector that has the power, ground and remote turn on lead also has the speaker wires coming from the headunit,...

Might be a good idea to pop the door panels off and take a look at the speakers. If the surrounds have rotted away, you could get the same problem you're having. I ran into that on a 2000 Silverado. Nothing but highs from the left front. When I pulled the panel off, I saw that the surround on the do...

The 3.1 ohm spec for the DD set is given as dc resistance, which is not the same as impedance. It is likely they are 4 ohms nominal impedance. There are three screws you need to remove. Two are under the trim piece on the arm rest (where the power window and door lock/unlock controls are). Work a small flat blade screwdriver under the "handle" end of the trim piece, and pry up gently. Once that's out, go ahead and take the electr...

Depth shouldn't be a problem with most any car audio driver. The thing to look out for is the diameter of the magnet, since the window is pretty close when rolled all the way down. A driver made like the one in Sublimewind's pic might interfere with the window's travel if you didn't use a spacer.

The Polk db651 seem to be popular here. http://www.sonicelectronix.com....htmlThey have better sensitivity than the Pioneers you linked (92 vs. 90 db), and should get a little louder with the power from the factory amp or the headunit. I would run them off of the headunit.
