Re: Proud new Vibe GT owner!

Nice looking Vibe! For tips and tricks, what do you want to do? One tip from experience - stick with the stock size for tires - changes can kill your mpg. If you wanted to drop from 18's to 17's, stay with a stock configuration for the Vibe. Oh yeah, another tip is that if you want to hear more engi...

Re: 2009 2.4 Wheel Replacement Size?

I recommend sticking with the same size if you are staying with the stock wheels. I upsized 10mm in width and raised the profile in an attempt to get better mpg and correct my speedo because it was off about 3 mph. The speedo now reads right but my avg mpg dropped from about 26 mpg to 24 mpg. When t...

I originally was looking at buying an Accord (we have an Odyssey), but it was real difficult finding a Manual EX model on the East Coast. I can't believe so many manufactures are phasing out sticks :( Surprised I missed this part - one of our other cars is a 2001 Accord EX with a stick haha. BTW, m...

For owners of later Vibes (20005+) is the driving position any better? I am 5' 10" plus and I'd say I probably have slightly shorter than average legs. I find the driving position in my 2009 to be just great. The only car I could not like was a mid-90's Grand Am, which seemed to have the botto...

Pro-Kits are what I have on my Civic and while I love them I would think they would drop a Vibe about 1.5". In fact, OP didn't mention what generation Vibe he has - if it is 2nd gen Pro-Kits might lower it more like 2".

An inch seems barely noticeable! I have Tein H-Tech springs and they lowered it about 2". No problems with clearance for the ground or the stock wheels/tires. If you just want to go 1" I'd recommend the TRD springs for a Toyota Matrix. I think the drop is just about an inch and those sprin...

I have Lloyd's Rubbertite mats and like them - mostly for the way they look. But they won't hold as much water or a spill like the Husky or WeatherTech ones. And, they don't stay in place as well. I'll post a link to my pics.

This probably isn't the best place to ask that question - because it will be overlooked. I'd search the site here for "plastidip" and/or "plasti-dip". Several people have used that and it seems to work very well, is surprisingly durable, and it can be un-done with relative ease.
