They did do a dye check and somehow the condenser is damaged. Possibly a stone or something took a weird bounce and hit it. Going to replace it next week. Doesn't look too bad to do.

Well, the verdict is in, condenser is leaking. $525.00 to replace. Ouch! Opinions? Is this a hard job to do myself? I am very mechanically inclined, but I realize I would need to have it pumped down and filled by someone after replacement.

I do have the gauge that came with the 134. I do not have a set of hi and low gauges. I have experience with ac systems from my job, but not automotive systems. My '07 has a strange AC problem. I have no cooling. Pressure reads fine on the refrigerant, compressor clutch is engaging and running constantly, changed the in-cabin filter. Anyone have any ideas?

Fresh Air/Recirculate control

I have noticed that the fresh air/recirculate does not work very well on my '07 Vibe. When I put it on recirculate I can still smell bad outside smells pretty easily. Other cars I've had pretty much block everything out. Anyone else noticed this on their Vibes?

Definitely the tires. They have around 27000 miles on them. I'm in the process of trying to buy a 2nd Vibe, so I definitely want to get this figured out.

I wanted to update this thread since it's been a little over a year since putting these tire on. Well, the results are bad. I'm seriously frustrated and fed up with these tires. What's the problem? No difference changing the balance. Sound is barely audible in left side. I thought about them possibly being blown. Is there a way to test if they are blown?

It is a factory replacement. Definitely after the unit. Bad ground? Never been wrecked.

No left side sound

I have a problem with the speakers on the left side of the car, front and back. I basically have a very weak signal. If I press my ear to the front left I can hear a little sound. I'm not sure anything is coming from the back. Original stereo had this issue and now the new one does too. Any ideas?

After getting the fit I liked, I applied some thin adhesive backed felt pieces to the underside to keep it from rattling.

My next step was to transfer the pattern to the .063" aluminum treadplate and cut it out with a jig saw. Because the aluminum is so soft, file fitting is easier than with the steel, but still tedious.

Finally got around to making my console insert today. I printed out the pattern that Joatmon so graciously provided and cut it out for a test fit. We have Swifty here also. Lousy quality IMHO. I've gotten bad gas there when I've tried. Very tempting to go there though when it's 10° F outside and blowing snow.

I'll add a piece of S.S. angle where the relay is mounted now and mount the relay to that which will rotate the relay facing down. That should help. I did fill all connections with dielectric grease. I mentioned that in my second post.

I work late and my drive home is all through the countryside with lots of critters along the way. I've already tested it out on quite a few Deer, a Possum, and a Coyote. Possum was the funniest. Man, he freaked out!

I installed a fuse holder in between the battery connection and the hot wire for the new relay. Fuse holder holds a 30 amp ATM fuse.

I mounted the relay on the side of the air filter housing. There is a tab there with a hole in it, for what I don't know, that worked perfect. I attached the relay with a S.S. 10-24 screw, lock nut, and 2 fender washers top and bottom. The fender washers are necessary since the hole in the air filte...

Here is a shot from the back showing the bracket. The pigtail wire is the ground for the horn. For all of my wiring connections I either used the terminals with the heat shrink attached to them or put on my own heat shrink tube. I also coated all connections with dielectric grease.
