Re: Would you go back to a 1st gen?

We have both 2004 and 2009 Vibes.

I prefer the 2005 body style, but must admit the 2009 engine/auto-transmission (and disc brakes) is better. Thus, *I* would prefer a 2005 chassis with 2009+ engine & transmission.

Legally, ALL SAFETY RECALLS (Federal as well as state) must be 'cleared/implemented' before a vehicle can be sold.

GM used to sell stuff to kill the mildew/stinky-feet smell coming from the A/C fins. However, mold buildup is typically caused by condensation drain hose either not draining properly or being clogged -- both are something to check. GM Safety Recall #12071 for 2009 Vibes

How many other 2009 Vibe owners received their GM Safety Recall #12071 Notice in the mail? This is the Power Window Master Switch (PWMS) recall that Toyota announced over half a year ago--and GM is just *now* getting around to implementating. Supposedly a 1-hour task.

Did anybody else receive a SAFETY RECALL NOTICE notice from Pontiac back in Dec'12? Well, I e-mailed them about it last week (4 months after receiving the initial letter) and received a telephone call back yesterday -- apparently the "new" GM doesn't know how (nor want) to talk to Toyota, ...
