also keep in mind going to 6 speed will reduce your gas mileage, as final drive ratio is actually worse than the 5 speed. You will be running about 200rmp faster in top gear... But if you enjoy shifting, i guess its a fun mod to do

And any car can be modified to achieve excellent MPG. My brothers 91 Chevy Caprice with a crate motor gets 32 on highway! I bought mine from amazon.com. if you go to Energy bushing site, you can find the right part number and just search that in Amazon. It does shift nicer, but idle vibration is really bad

Hey Keith, maybe you already have the mod done and you dont remember doing it Cause my car, even with the ac switch off, and the light is OFF, the AC still kicks in when the defrost or defrost and feet are selected.....

It is possible at your recent trip to the dealership they managed to get some grease or contaminant on your front rotors. So it is not biting as it should. I would do a few 70mph to 10mph hard brakes and try to burn anything off your rotors and go from there.

I did not mess with the alt. I used a arm on that tensioner, there is a 17 or 19mm bolt head attached, use that and pull your wrench toward the front of the car, I think... if my memory is right. That removes all the tension from the belt, unhook the belt where ever you want, and let go of the bar. ...

You dont need to jack the motor or anything, I just unscrewed the new tensioner and replaced the old, I didnt replace the entire arm nor the idler pulley. I think those are heat marks, from overheating the rotors.. maybe you drive more spirited than most of us. or that caliper is seizing... or right side needs to be bleed. one caliper might be doing most of the work and so its over heating.. either way, u need new rotors and pads, plus bleed the entir...

patmanbbe, i hope the bar is working great still. I wanted to use an aluminum too for its weight reduction but since the bar will be flexing I opted not to. I thought that aluminum would be too brittle and perhaps fatigue and break after a while. Your experience will be cool to keep up with.

thanks for the good tip. i do get emails from AA and I did use it for my O2 sensors.. Ive heard sometimes they go bad after a year.. so I just paid more for insurance basically...

This seal is U shaped and wedges very tightly into our door skin lip. Like it was made for it. I cant get the seal to go all the way to the top of the skin, nor all the way to the bottom. But, majority is better than non. The reduction in dust/dirt collection is significant!

the seal it self , right now it is just hot glued. I want to remove the black ugly sticker underneath before I mount the seal. Always hated stickers on cars..

ScanGauge II, its the best deal. reading and clearing the codes is only a bonus. this thing does Ave MPG, MPH, water temp, intake air temp (different than outside air), rpm, all kinds of data.. its Live and it will really teach u how to drive efficiently.amazing tool.

I did a how to install Morimoto HID projectors in the inside forum. basically u bake the entire headlight for 10 min or so at 200deg, and u can pry open the headlight with ease, to seal back same thing, heat and clamp it shut. mine remained weatherproof after install. theres lots of pics on my post.
