mine does the low speed heater fan rattle at all rpms and even with the dial turned OFF of the defroster mode (so the a/c condensor motor is not activated) almost sounds like bearings going out when the heater motor is at low speeds i thought it was just me having this issue.

according to the latest nada book, the vibe gt is almost $1000 less than the matrix xrs in resale and the vibe awd is $400 more than the base matrix awd but $400 less than the matrix xr awd.....go figure....people really get brainwashed on the "toyota" name = more $$$$ dont they!

when the temp drops below zero either in c* or f*, machines act strange...i dont know if you can change the thermostat to a higher # eg 205* w/o affecting the computers.....i know on the chevy 6.6 diesels here to get them to put out heat, people disconnect the cooling fans for the radiator then bloc...

ground clearance is a hazy claim because each car company measures this difference in various ways.....i cant believe this car has almost the ground clearance of an explorer.....must be how toyota does their measuring...normally its from the diff down to the ground...hmmm anyway i still think i need...

depends on el nino/el nina/global warming effects....the coldest i have ever seen it was -72*below, with out a wind chill or anything but that was when i was a kid llllloooooonnnnngggggg time ago....in the past 5 years the coldest has been around -50* below....our coldest months are december/january...
