Just this morning I was looking for some touch up paint for my other car. I typed the paint code into a google search and came up with many many suppliers. Hope that works for you as well.
I have an 03 frosty (white). A long time ago someone on the list stated that white was the only color not clear coated. Does anyone have any information on this?
I had to replace my seat back release knob last year. I can't find the receipt so I don't have the part number. I just went to the local Toyota dealer and told the parts guy I needed one for a 2003 Matrix. I think it was in the $5.00 - $8.00 range.
I ended up just pulling off the power connector at the actuator and let it default to the outside air position. May be I'll fix it at some point in time. But summer has already begun in Phoenix (100 degree plus) so it won't be too soon.
Curious as to which brand dealership is doing your work. Will any type GM dealer (Buick, Chevy, Caddy, etc.) be able or willing to do it? Does anyone think it matters picking one over another? Any GM dealer should perform the recall work. I personally go to the local Buick/GMC dealer since the used ...
Have my appt with the dealer on 5/21/13 for my 04 and they needed to order the parts which should be in today. Also stated it could take as long as 2 hours for the work. :( Curious as to which brand dealership is doing your work. Will any type GM dealer (Buick, Chevy, Caddy, etc.) be able or willin...
I' would double check that info, to be sure .If the air is drawn into the plenum from the cowling above the fan, then the air flow is from top to bottom, so arrow down. Isn't that why the debris on the filter accumulates on the top?
Hey Whelan,That looks great. I've been wanting to do something like that for the last 4 years. I would like to see a full DIY if your offering. How much would you guess that assembly weighs?Guy In PhoenixJust Passin' Thru
Sounds like the same problem I had. It was fixed under warranty. This is how my invoice reads:"Cause-D1810 Actuator and/or motor1 #88970277Replaced air inlet door actuator asm, internal failure gears stripped."I don't know if "actuator" and "actuator asm" refer to the s...
A couple of weeks ago I received an e-mail from GM. It announced enhancements to the MyGMLink page, now includes your warranty history. When I visited the site I found two accurate warranty issues the dealer performed and one that never happened. The dealer claimed they replaced my radio/CD unit, wh...
A week after the body shop was done repairing and repainting my collision damaged Vibe, I noticed paint overspray on the roof. It was a large patch, about 18" X 24" I returned to the dealer thinking it would take the better part of the day and probably the use of solvents or heavy buffing....
Yep, same exact problem here. Just noticed it a few days ago. It looks dusty, redish and splotchy. Definitely going back to the dealer for this one. Had the same problem with my Mitsu Montero, but it took 5 years to show it.
Yea it's a dry heat . . . . but so is my oven! I first saw my outside temp gauge hit 120 a couple of weeks ago. I think 120 is also a setting on my oven!I see about 2 to 3 Vibes a day and probably 4 Matrices. They're around but people tend to hibernate here in August. The unwritten rule of the road ...
I have a 2003 with Moons and Tunes. Not that I particularly wanted it, just couldn.t find one in stock without it. I had a 2004 Vibe rental car for the last 2 weeks that did not have this option. I could not tell the difference between the 2 units. I also enjoyed the extra "antler" room wi...
I just returned a 2004 rental that I had for 2 weeks. My 2003 was in a collision and was in the body shop with over $6k worth of damage. Long sad story, but not pertinent to the topic. I thought the new white and red cluster was far superior to the 2003 all red. I really miss it. I also noticed that...
I definately don't consider it a Pontiac. I consider it a "NUMMI" the same manufacturer of the Toyota Tacoma and some Corollas. The dividing line is a little hazy. I've never been drawn to American cars and have to admit a slight bias, justified or not, against them. Just never aquired a t...
Just to help you guys to stay in perspective . . . . . . The other day my outside temp display read 113 degrees! It's not even summer yet. I think this year is going to be a beast. All in all the A/C was barely adequate. I think I'll have it looked at. What concerned me was the amount of swooshing n...
Just ran out to my garage and checked. It's approximately 66" from back of my front seats to hatch door and 39.5" between the wheel wells. If the matress is thick enough to be level with the front passenger seat in the table position you'd probably gain alot more usable leg room.
First off, what is the original purpose of the car's horn? I thought it was a way to give warning to someone not paying attention to a potential hazard. I get real annoyed when walking through a mall's parking lot and hear all this beeping and chiping. When it happens to the parked car that i'm walk...
I took my 1st road trip today, Phoenix to Tucson. It was about 230 miles round trip. I spotted 3 Matrices and 0 Vibes.P.S.I was really impressed with my gas mileage . . . . .40.282 mpg! Conditions; cruise control @ 65 mph, flat terrain, 4spd auto, temp 76F, and no A/C on.
Just received my title last week and I think I agree with the State Of Arizona MVD . . . . . . .4 door hatchback. But the word "tall" needs to be in there, also.
I've only had my Vibe for about 2 months and am very pleased with it's gas mileage. All city driving so far. I have the 4 speed auto that's rated at 28/33. Actual: 1st tank-32.1852nd - 30.4753rd - 32.2094th - 29.774 (must have got on it a bit)I can't wait to see what it will do on the highway.

1st car - 1953 Hillman Husky. British 2 door tall wagon. Looked liked an old high top sneaker.2nd car - 1970 Citroen D-19 . . . it came from another planet.3rd car - 1967 Saab 96 , 850 cc, 3 cylinder, 2 stoke engine.Just a small sample of my old oddities. Still miss that Citroen.
It appears our Vibes have an option usually found on more expenxive vehicles, rear passenger floor heat vents. Nice for thoses in the rear seats, but it must diminish the air flow available to the front. Look under your front seats. The vents are easily visable. You might try blocking these outlets ...
