I just did a coolant drain on the 2003 vibe GT this weekend. pulled almost all the coolant out of the system. and then refilled with Peak 50/50 Pre-Diluted... It took One Gallon at the time.. and then a 1/4 after the first drive.. now its all topped off :D From what iv been reading the dex-cool eat...

Somewhere on here I posted (w/pics) what I did to reduce the noise.
I didn't measure before/after db's but there was a definite difference to the good.

I think the "steep hill" is coincidence. The part of the 'puter that controls the trans/throttle/speed seems to have an odd calibration that is not apparent is other cars I have driven. The programming must have been delegated to the new kid. The one that his mother drove him to/from work ...

I've driven cars and motorcycles for over 54 years, Never turned a rotor, never had a drum ground. Just put in new shoes or pads, drive aware for a few miles. Never had a problem. Mine quit working 2-3 years ago for no obvious reason.
The button makes no change in transmission or bulb status.

Yikes...has that caliper been at the bottom of the Indian Ocean??? Corrosion / rust I know this is an older thread but I always open the bleeder using a one-man-bottle while compressing the piston. Much better than GM did related to the DEX coolant problem.

Also much better than GM did with the leaking of coolant into the crankcase through a faulty head casting. They admitted a problem but did not repair/replace except under extremely narrow conditions.

As someone mentioned elsewhere relate to this fix, the size of your hands has a lot to do with the ease of success besides the other "tools".

Not an issue unless the OP does a full warm up of the engine prior to the over 10 foot distance to the garage.

Yea I had a U-joint thingy but couldn't quite get it in there. The taped up socket worked well and used it to install the screws also. Just want to post another option just removing the Glove Box.
