Re: 2009 Monsoon Head Unit Question

Is it physical damage to the port? If so, your best bet is probably to get right behind where it goes into the unit and solder leads to a new input. I once took a CD audio output (from the disk tray) and soldered in an 8th inch female jack and trust me, you don't want to be messing with the circuit...

2009 Monsoon Head Unit Question

Anyone have a diagram of the head unit wiring? My audio in jack is damaged and I want to bypass it with an external jack. I'm not sure where to run the wires on the HU once my friend has it pulled.

Re: 09 Vibe lost cup inserts, and floormats

I'm still looking for the cup holder no luck so far. :-( As for floor mats I got some carpeted ones that didn't have the holes and a coworker put them in and added grommets. I have a set of the dividers I pulled from a 2010 at a salvage yard close by me. The other person I offered them to has not b...

Re: I can help with car audio questions.

RobK and anyone else who knows. I have an 09 GT with the Monsoon system. I use On Star and XM so I don't want to lose them but the Aux Jack on my stock HU is not working. (I get either no sound or mono unless I have the male plus under tension) Is there anyone able to repair it or do I need to buy a...

2009 GT w/ Monsoon radio help needed

I have a 2009 with the Monsoon radio, The aux in jack is having problems on my HU. If I plug a cable in I'm lucky to get one channel. If I apply tension to the plug either pulling it up or pushing down I get both channels but as soon as I release the tension it goes back to no audio or one channel. ...

Re: Replace PCM or trade it in?

My dealer said the PCM had to be replaced also. I called Pontiac and they paid for half the repair. My problem then returned the day after repair. After further diagnosis they said one of the two 02 sensors failed. They replaced both sensors for free. If your problem comes back call Pontiac.

Re: Wat to replace my HU & keep On Star

What year Vibe do you own? If it's an 09/10 then Metra makes a piece that retains OnStar (GMOS-LAN-01) the dash kit you need for those years is (TA2102B) http://www.scosche.com/car-audio/product/1835" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for either OnStar module you MAY have to m...

Re: Wat to replace my HU & keep On Star

Crutchfield's site says What you need to know: A wiring harness is not available. You will need to splice into the factory wires. Bypass your factory amp by running new speaker wires from the stereo to the output side of your factory amp. If your vehicle has the OnStar system, you'll lose the voice ...

Re: O2 Sensors and ECM

I agree with you that the problem maybe still lurking. If the O2 sensor had issues I'm not sure it would cause the PCM to fail but could cause it to do other bad things. The Cxxxx code doesn't come up on any searches. Good luck! The dealer claims the PCM's intermittent short damaged the O2 sensor. ...

Re: O2 Sensors and ECM

The PCM should never, ever fail unless you have water or electrical issue. Toyota had a major recall over early DBW 1zz PCMs, but that didn't afftect your car. Did you read them or they? Could a bad O2 cause PCM issues? Sure it could. What is interesting is the issue only came up when it's damp? Lo...

Re: 09 Vibe lost cup inserts, and floormats

Check car-part.com . I'm sure you could easily find a junkyard near you with a 2009+ Matrix or 2009-2010 Vibe to grab the cup holder inserts from for cheap. As far as the floor mat goes, I recommend getting some rubber ones. They hold up much better than the carpeted ones and are much easier to cle...

09 Vibe lost cup inserts, and floormats

I lost the inserts that go in the center console to hold cups. If someone can tell me the dimensions of them I could fabricate some out of foam. Also the driver's side floor-mat is ragtag on the upper left side. I want to replace it with one that will attach to the hooks. Any suggestions? Thanks in ...

2009 Vibe GT Monsoon radio Aux issue

I have a 2009 Vibe GT with the Monsoon system (I have the stock sunroof and I think that required the monsoon system) and the Aux connector is damaged. I tried a stereo cable from it to my Samsung Charge phone and I'm only getting mono. I think it's the jack but I'm not sure. How can I fix this? If ...

Re: O2 Sensors and ECM

Really....So they mis-diagnosis you car charge you $400 and give you the O2s for free. I would be raising hell. O2s are a $50 part and 10 minutes to install. I have no way to prove that error codes P0607 and C1901 were not the Electronic Control Module. I didn't ask for the old pars and if I had I ...

O2 Sensors and ECM

I have an 09 PONTIAC VIBE FWD 'GT' built in April 2008 with over 95,000 miles on it. For the past year or so I've had the check engine and traction lights come on solid and the VSC light flashing. This would only happen when it was damp out (usually) I took it to my local dealer which is not where i...

Hi I'm Emanuel and I am new here

Ok from reading it looks like pics of the new cars are wanted well I didn't take any yet On 4/11 my 2003 Aztek was totaled in a car accident (A Matrix/Corolla killed it) . I needed a new car and didn't want an SUV because of the poor gas mileage. I drove a few cars and really liked the way the Vibe ...
