Re: air bag module recall on 03/04

I got notices in the mail today for both my 03 GT and my 04 Base. No parts available, awaiting next letter. I came here looking for more info, guess you guys are all in the same boat :) So, if notices for the Matrix went out in January, have any of you Matrix owners had yours fixed or are you also a...

Thanks, John! I'll definitely check those out in the AM. I have a morning appointment tomorrow, but once my client leaves I'll start going through the wiring first to make sure it's not just a loose connection somewhere. I'll try and update this if I have any progress.

Re: Weird no start issue '03 GT (and hey, I'm back!)

Thanks for the quick replies, guys! Does anyone happen to have any handy links to threads or DIYs related to the ignition system or starter replacement? I'm pretty unfamiliar with some of that stuff, and definitely unfamiliar with those systems in the Vibe. I checked the stickied DIY and Maintenance...

Weird no start issue '03 GT (and hey, I'm back!)

Hey guys! Been a long time, apologies for the absence but life sort of pulled my attention away for a while :) I've got a lot of catch-up reading to do, but hopefully I'll be back around more often. I hate to be that guy who disappears and only pops back in because he's got a problem, but it seems I...

Just had some success.. gave the WD-40 some time to work in, and while it still won't latch solidly when just pushing down on the hood, it will latch when you let it drop from a moderate height. So.. win?

No luck I tried adjusting the bump stops too, just to see if it made any difference. No dice there, either. Does anyone have any good tips or step by step info for removing the hood latch mechanism? Nothing's easy

So I went to change out both of my headlight bulbs today (wife drives the '04, one bulb went out and we put off fixing it just long enough for the other one to go as well). First off, changing them out is only easy once you've done it once. Prior to that, it's not terribly obvious what needs to happ...

Picking tomorrow's top collector cars

http://bottomline.msnbc.msn.co...-carsKind of a cool article, although it doesn't really deliver much in the way of specifics. As usual, the Pontiac Aztek takes a shot (such an easy, lame joke). 1986 VW MK2 Golf Wolfsburg edition. Super low miles, currently under the knife for some rust repair, prepping it for a respray (verrrry slowly). Project is currently a bit stalled out, since I have no real budget for it. Instead, I've been swapping tattoo work for parts/labor/car storage over winter:

Thanks for the link. Yeah, the shipping on that Ebay listing is a little nutty (200+ bucks to ship four wheels/tires?)
