Re: What's the "Mystery box" inside my front doors

Is it possible these are door weights? I was looking at YouTube videos researching power lock actuator replacement and remember seeing something similar that was described as a door weight..... Maybe?

Re: READ THIS b4 timing chain tensioner job on a 2ZZ

Did this repair yesterday. What a pain in the (removed) for a $4 O-ring!! Here is my contribution: It went very well start to finish thanks to the advice in this thread. Took me over 3 hours but part of that was trying to find tools that would fit in the tight clearances, and taking relaxation breat...

Re: power steering fluid exchange

Just got done doing this to mine- 2005 GT 256K. To my knowledge the fluid had never been changed, so I decided it was time. I used a Dex-iii ATF and flushed the whole system out. Here's the video I found:

https://youtu.be/mBv4JkBYCW4

Aside from spilling some fluid it was no problem.

Re: Radio lights going out

Successfully pulled off this repair, using the 74 bulbs. Even got those little condoms rolled on.

Looks great!

The past week:

Isimple hard wired fm transmitter install, heater blower motor replacement, actuator refurb and reinstall, and this repair....good week for the vibe!

Re: Recirculate door motor stripped

I just did this fix after several months of tapping. I decided to go for it since I replaced my blower motor yesterday. Well, it took me well more than an hour...more like two...but the job is done and was a success. Thanks for all the tips on this thread. I used both glovebox and radio openings, an...

Re: Blower completely stopped working!

Well, it was the blower. Tried unsuccessfully to check it with the multimeter which was a piece of junk, then just ran 12v across the motorand got nothing. Picked up a new blower motor at autozone for $109 and had it blowing in 15 minutes... And a new multimeter. May have just been better off orderi...

Re: Blower completely stopped working!

The open connector is a green wire and a white/black wire, coming from below the heater control switch. I looked with a mirror and can't see an open port on the back of the switch. There is a green wire leading to the larger harness going into the back of the switch which may be what you were refere...

Thanks!

I haven't had time to remove any dash panels since I need my car (assembled) for work.

Re: Blower completely stopped working!

Ok then! 10amp fuse good 40amp fuse good Actuator bad...has been thumping for some time when recirc is off...not sure if this could cause a sudden blower failure, though (?). Does not blow at all...not even on high...so not typical for resistor based on what I've read. Found the Heater relay but not...

Blower completely stopped working!

Hey guys. Long time lurker here. My work car is a 2005 Vibe GT 205,000 miles strong. I was tinkering in the dash installing an Isimple hard wired fm transmitter. I don't know if I bumped something or blew a fuse or what, but the AC won't blow at all. It was fine before this. From what I could tell t...
