I hate when dealerships plaster their stickers and license plate frames all over a new car. First mod I always do is remove the advertising. At least these days it's a sticker and not riveted to the car.
Almost looks like a bullet hole. I got a bunch of pits in my windshield after 3 years figure I will replace it this spring after all the sand is gone from this winter.
You never know. Look what happened to Oldsmobile and Plymouth. How long were they around before they disapeared. I don't think Buick is doing so well either.
I would say go Rockies but who are we trying to kid? We had our moment last year and it was fun to be around but I will probably be dead before it happens again. So I will say go Mariners!
He was in 88 Films and TV shows. He still has 2 films coming out this year that were already completed or in post production (Dark Honeymoon & Iron Cross). He did a Family Guy episode last year. Don't famous deaths come in 3's? Heath Ledger, Roy Scheider, ? Who is next?http://www.imdb.com/name/n...
And it is supposed to be almost 60 this Saturday here in the Denver area. So I can finally wash all the road grime off the cars. Maybe even take the bike out.
Here is a picture of me and the wife on our 04' Shadow Sabre and another one of me on the right coming back to Colorado from Montana last summer. The motorcycle is the reason the Vibe doesn't have that many miles on it.
When I used to work a the tire store we had buckets of old lug nuts. Most of which were in pretty good condition. People who got new wheels would sometimes leave their stock wheels and lug nuts. The Toyota lugs were like gold because they were so expensive. So it might not hurt to check the tire sto...
I wouldn't, you are trying to put a tire that is 12.5 inches wide on a rim width half that size! The best width for that size tire is 10" but will work down to an 8" without bowing the tread too much. Are you going to put a 12" lift on your Vibe?
Mine was easy (unbolt, install, rebolt). Of course I did mine the same time I lowered it, so everything was taken apart already. But it isn't too involved.
I just changed my oil yesterday with my second round of Mobil 1. They sell the 5 quart jug at Sams Club for just under $20. A few bucks cheaper than it's cousin Wal Mart.
No everything looks great. Me and the wife have been talking about getting a truck since last summer. We used to go camping and haven't been able to pack the 3 dogs and our gear into her Grand Vitara and the lowered Vibe wouldn't do too good off road. So we decided to sell the Vibe since her car is ...
Got my car back yesterday and she looks good as new. The body shop "mis-placed" my tear down pool cue while it was being repaired so that sucks. When I went to clean the car out before taking it in I was unable to open the storage compartment and remove the cue. Everything else that was un...
It is in post and scheduled to be released on July 18th. I noticed one of the posters has Heath as the Joker on it.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/
I'm going to. I have to wait until the repairs are completed. Progressive indicates they will not pay for diminished value under the "Collision" section of the policy but I contacted a place that specializes in this type of claim and they said it will be covered under my Unisured Motorist/...
We forgot to get pictures. They called this morning and said it should be ready tomorrow. The first place I am going to look is under the rear where that pinched rail was.
My father in law is a estimate writer and said they actually make kits for fixing the frame damage. They cut out the bad part weld in the new one and then put it on some kind of "laser" rack that will tell the tech how to "bend" it back to factory specs. I'm assuming it will be o...
I pasted the link below. My avatar is from the book cover of "I'm a Lebowski, Your a Lebowski" I also put a picture of my Halloween costume.http://lebowskifest.com/default.asp
A guy at work just told me about something called "Diminished Value". I guess the insurance will pay me for the diminished value of my car after it has been repaired. So I could get a check for 10-25% of blue book back as a check. That should help pay for the deductible at least. From what...
America's Tire is Discount Tire. I worked for Discount Tire for many years. They couldn't use the Discount Tire name when they expanded into Oregon and Some areas of California due to another tire shop using the Discount Tire name. If you notice the logo is the same lettering type. I've always used ...
Yep, the all wheel drive would have been nice here in Colorado and the cool fold out tent option for the Aztek would have been nice for camping. I like to be able to drive the speed limit and not get pointed at for driving something out of Battlestar Galactica.
"Agree on the Astek, but how could they leave off the Gremlin?"My dad had a green Gremlin back in the 70's. I still have the gas cap at home somewhere with the little Gremlin on it. I think the AMC Pacer was much more ugly.
I remember when I was buying my Vibe the dealer was trying real hard to get me to buy the Aztec and it would have been cheaper. Didn't like the look then and still don't today.
I also had the pop sound when the window would go down. Tightened the loose bolt on the bottom of the window frame and all is good. Maybe the rattle is from the bolt having fell off and is rolling around in the bottom of the door frame?
Well it's been 3 weeks in the body shop and I was expecting to pick my car up today. The shop called me and it will be another week before it is completed. I guess $6k worth of damage takes a little while to fix.
So my latest wreck that went through Progressive should show up. Speaking of the wreck I get my car back this Friday. Hooray! no more car pooling. There has been too much snow on the roads for me to ride my motorcycle. So it will be nice to get the Vibe back.
Don't they have a website like Carfax in Canada? We bought a 96 Pathifinder and the dealer gave us a Carfax history report when we bought it. It had every oil change, car registration, change of owenership and location even a body shop visit.
Do any work recently that could have pinched a speaker wire and it is shorting out? I did this once when installing a set of new speakers in the back of my old truck. I ran the wires under the carpet by the doors and when I put the trim piece back on it caught the wire and pulled enough of the shiel...
I hit a pile of snow once and it bent the heat shield by the exhuast pipe under the center of the car. Every time I would accelerate the rattle would get worse. I bent the shield back and the rattle stopped.
Lucky for you the hub center is the same size or you might start getting some vibration when they settle in. No problems with rubbing or turning? I thought the Subaru offset was something like 55mm and the Vibe was around 40mm.
