Re: Does size matter? (darcmater)

To get a deeper sound the speaker needs to move more air. So the larger diameter speaker will move more air thus deeper bass. It take more power to move the larger volume of air so on the same size amp you may prefer the smaller speaker. With the correct system I prefer 15's over 12's any day. 12's ...

Or you can just buy a adapter for the speakers. Look up the install guide at Crutchfields.

Re: (zt9)

Not trying to insult, but have you checked the fader? I just don't see two speakers blowing at once. It could happen, but just not likely. To bypass the factory amp you would have two choices.1) Wire the speakers directly to the amp in your HU.2) Install a new amp. Preferably an aftermarket amp.Opti...

Re: Saris Bones RS Bike Rack (lovemyraffe)

My main reason for going with the hitch style was gas mileage. I have a roof rack on my Civic and it really messed with my mileage. It would drop it by about 5 miles a gallon. I would remove it during school (drive about 210 mile during school semesters) trying to minimize gas cost. With the hitch s...

Re: Saris Bones RS Bike Rack (mtnbikerguy23)

I have the Saris Bones 2 and really did not carry for it much. It was a little flimsy. Plus there is no sercurity with those type of racks. I just installed the Hidden Hitch receiver (recommend) and a Thule 917 (link below). It was a little expensive but now there are no worries. http://www.thulerac...

Does anyone have to part numbers for the yellow clip and the drivers side cover. Both broke when removing. The other side wasn't much easier but it did not break.

Well I ordered the front trim part on Friday and when I went to pick it up today was told "Sorry but we can't get anything from GM till the strike ends". Well that stinks. Stupid UAW. PS. Before I get some hate mail, I was a member of the UAW for 12 years. So I'm allowed to say that.

My Vibe did not come with the center console power outlet. Does anyone know if it is pre-wire? This way all I have to do is purchase a receptacle and plug it in.

Help with a part number and price, please.

I just bought a used 2005 Vibe and I noticed that i have a trim piece missing and I'd like to replace it. It's one of the little louvered pieces just below the front bumper next to the drivers side fog light. Anyone know what the part number is and the price? I attached a image to help show which pi...

I used something close to the Universal Gooseneck Mount back in the day to mount my 10 disk changer control. I really liked it. I had it mounted where I could rest my hand on it while I drove and could change tracks and disk without taking my eyes off the road. I was using a cup holder mount for my ...

IPod storage location

For those of you that use your iPod in your Vibe, where do you store it when connected to your audio system? I just ordered the Alpine CDA-9883 HU with iPOd control and I'm trying find the best location to store the iPod when controlled by the HU. Thanks.
