Re: (MRCN RCE)

I have literally beaten the CRAP out of my Vibe GT and can't say that I've had major problems at all. Yes the clutch is weak, but I used that up until about 80-85,000 miles. I now have a Stage 3 that simply LURCHES(as in HAULS!!!) and has about 1/2 to an inch of play between fully engaged and fully ...

Re: (Celtic_Curse)

I've talked to guys that have seen this kits online. They say the turbos and tubing usually are crap and don't even fit right half the time. ie. Purchase at your own risk. and agreed with the other guys....you gotta tune it still! The compression ration is way too high on the 2zz motor. Normal is 8:...

Re: (kevera)

I got 3 shims placed on the rear driver side and she's running purdy again...of course to check that out, I had to go on a 500 mile Road trip to make sure it didn't become unstable aboe 60, so of course I had to go 115 for a couple legs of the trip!

Re: steering column vibration (protoman)

Thats alignment and wheel balance right there! I just had to have mine checked out. yeah, the wheel "shimmied" around 60mph and above. My REAR end ended up being out of alignment and it is NOT adjustable. I had to get shims...but as the rest of them say, yours only has 3,000 miles, so no m...

Re: (prathman)

I agree with prathman....make sure you check out the alignment and everything else out first. The front-end of the Vibe is adjustable, the rear-end you may have to get shims to have it properly lined up. Check your tire pressure too. I have run mine up to 135mph and pretty much hit 100mph daily and ...

"with a FWD you can downshift your XRS/GT but if your back wheels start to slide, you will end up going down the hill *** first. "Thats what you have the "E" brake for...it'll lock all of 'em up! haha...yes yes...I know your AWD will handle better in the snow...but lets talk abou...

Not when my GT can still smoke the AWD with a supercharger...and yes...thats proven! HAHA! Plus you don't get the control with an Automatic that you can have with a manual transmission! And again to the guy buying...either one is essentially a Toyota motor, which of course have a great history of dur...

Re: Upgrading to a stage 2 clutch, do I need a new flywheel? (robdog)

I just got my Stage 3 clutch done about 6 months ago...I had about 85,000 with the original clutch on my '03 Vibe GT. The clutch that is in the GT is the same as the base model and handles 60-70 more horsepower, but it was not meant to handle that load. The mechanic had the fly-wheel remachined. Def...

Has anyone turbocharged or supercharged a GT or XRS?

I have a 2003 Vibe GT and was wondering if anyone out there has successfully installed a turbo or supercharger on it?! Reliability? COST?!

Re: (northvibe)

It was aligned. On the vibe though...the front is the only thing that is adjustable... the rear alignment is not adjustable. I've rotated and balanced the tires every 8-10,000 miles and have had the alignment checked 2-3X since I've had it. No accidents....so I shouldn't have this problem...but it d...

Has anyone had to get shims to align the rear axle?

I have 89,000 miles on my '03 Vibe GT and my driver side tire is starting to wear unevenly. Firestone tells me that its due to the rear-alignment of the car, but its not adjustable. Has anyone else out there had this problem. Firestone said I needed to get shims so that I could adjust the rear align...

I have over 89,000 miles on my Vibe GT and still have the OEM brakes on there....although I'm pretty sure they'll be due pretty soon....I've driven this car like a bat outta hell the entire time too...but I do use the manual to engine brake a lot....replaced the clutch around 85,000 with a Stage 3 R...

Re: underbody plastic (melders)

Another easy quick fix that was way cheaper was using zip ties. I ended up fixing my mom's doing that and then when I looked at mine to check if I was missing any, I found about 4 or 5 missing....my entire front fascia would move when I washed it with a sponge! I used some zip ties and the front end...

I've held mine at 135MPH for about 15 minutes!!! Beat that! That was in a Road Rally on two lane highways. and that was a little above 7000 in 5th gear....if you go up to sixth it started to slow down to due to wind and hills!Sorry I didn't take a pic at 135, its a little nuts! but I did flash one a...

Vibe GT beats out Porsche and Evo in Road Rally!

310 miles in 4 hours 11 minutes with 10 checkpoint stops and 2 gas stops with an average of 75mph on 55mph roads!Hey all you vibe owners....thought you'd get a kick outta this! I recently entered my 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT (bone stock minus performance clutch) into a road race and WON! Not only that, b...
