3rd brake light , question=--

The light malfunctions often . The small , light gray color, electrical part that the blub snaps into question=---- Is that part sold aftermarket ? Toyota only sells the whole assembly..
I wiggle the bulb and then it,s ok. Perhaps there,s some way to make the bulb sit firmly in it.

No Seattle.
About 40,000 later and I still have not replaced the rear shocks or struts.


The tires wear evenly. No driving problems noticed. It has always been rough on these bumpy streets.
I am considering replacing them. Thanks to all you guys for the advice.

solution= ain,t no way to align the rear. I,m driving a 2005 base Vibe with about 171,000 miles on it. Had the code for about 2 years already. Keep putting off trying to replace 02 sensors and cats,etc.,etc.

Local G M dealer told me = part # 94858992 = for the seal.
Discontinued at usual dealer locations. But I found one OEM at Bumper to Bumper.

they said it was going to be no problem.
they installed a Chinese c/v , but said they never have one return.

it was leaking from the water pump(bearing).
the mechanic had to jack up the engine to remove the water pump.
replaced with gates brand.
it worked out ok.

The drivers side , inner c/v axle boot is busted open.
So far its making no noise or driving issues.
Am I correct =- it should start clicking on turns and roaring at speed ?
