Air intake inserts, fuel line magnets, hydrogen kits...

On motorweek this weekend, Pat Goss of Goss' Garage discussed how air intake inserts (Tornado), fuel line magnets and water/hydrogen kits available on the market are all junk. I tend to agree with ol' Goss and don't have any of these on my Vibe. There has been a fair amount of discussion here about ...

The grill remined me of the door molding too. Actually even more so, my brother had a 41 Ford hotrod, and he used a similar product to change the beat up old pot metal lower grill inserts to chrome. He used the 1/2in or 3/4in chrome strip with adhesive backing, a product that can also be bought at y...

Different lower grill insert for 05-08 Vibes...

I was just surfing ebay and came across these. Although I have a 2004 VGT, I figured I'd put this up in case anyone may be interested. I think the insert actually looks pretty nice. I like it better than the billet inserts. You can see that the insert complements the chrome trim around the upper gri...

Saw the Matrix Motorweek segment. The new XRS/GT has the 2.4 liter 4 banger. No significant difference in horse powere over the old engine; however, I did notice that the torque is up quite a bit to 162 ft/lbs. Also gas mileage is 21/28. Motorweek averaged ~27.3 during their testing. That added torq...

The wheels/tires I got put on my vibe at 18x7.5" with a 38mm offsest. Tires are 235/40/18. The front wheel edge sits in the fender about 0.5" from flush. However, the rear was still 1.5" inward from flush. So, I got 1" spacers to make up the difference in the rear, and the look i...

The defrost button in the Trix is in fact in the blank position underneath our A/C and recirculation buttons. I like the look better. It looks a little more refined in my opinion.
