Throttle body and MAF cleaning. I will just add a power steering flush for giggles. Easy to do with a syringe or turkey baster.

Has anyone tried hosing off the condenser ? I replaced my radiator not too long ago and had full access to the condenser and hosed it off. It has lots of bugs stuck in between the fins. You can still hose it out from the front. I noticed a difference in cooling after the cleaning. Just a thought.

Fun repairs this time :lol: :lol: :lol: Replaced my 7 year old Polks with the new DB652 series in the front. Unfortunately the old ones were water damaged. Replaced both door runs, used one of those speaker baffles ( had to modify cause they kill the bass ) and repaired the door trim prior to instal...

Busy weekend ! Friday was a Bad battery, but that was fine. Saturday my radiator was leaking. Had a crack on the plastic tank. $130 bux at advance auto. Easy job except for those stupid OEM hose clamps...made new curse words removing them and trying to reuse. I ended up picking some worm gear clamps...

The last 2 sets of tires have been Nexen for me. They have been the quietest tire for the Vibe in my 10 year ownership. I paid $350 at mt local tire shop.

I had the same problem 2 years ago. Ended up being a bad driver side lower control arm. I also had worn stabilizer bushings and struts. Replaced them all and problem solved. You Tube has great vids for checking worn suspension parts :D

Replaced door glass window run. Very easy !.....however this strip of rubber cost me 60 bux ! The only reason I replaced it because Im getting my windows retinted and 2 places have recommended it being replaced, or it may ruin the tint. Got my airbag recall done. Removed the radio, radio and HVAC trim panels as well as the glovebox BEFORE taking it in to insure the techs don't break anything !!!.....

Replaced power door lock, power window motor and flushed out power steering fluid with large Syringe and tubing ( from work ) Fluid was black for OEM :lol:....also found that my Polk speakers are water damaged and need replacement :(

Wow I havent posted in a while :lol: I have noticed that both my front speakers have not been working for a while, but have been waiting for cooler wheather to diagnose. 3 years ago I replaced all my speakers and insulated with a dynamat knock off. The moisture barrier was removed...from my research...

Mine failed at 215K. Its a 2003 model and I have owned since 38K. I wouldnt replace it until it fails. Just make sure you buy the OEM unit. I figured the OEM lasted over 200K this would be the last pump I will replace on this car :lol:

Finally cut the wire of DRL and Installed LED headlights. These light bulbs have the LEDs in the same places of the filaments of the 9003 halogen bulbs. Previous car was a 01 Civic. No offense guys....I would never buy a GM car for a daily driver. Only reason I bought the Vibe cause I knew it WASNT GM :lol:

Thanks ! I was really impressed on how they came out. I tried Duplicolors wheel paint but didnt like it at ALL. It just didnt have the shiny ( but not too shiny ) look that I wanted. Hard to clean well. I didnt put a coat of clear on it...from my experience, laying a coat over silver dulls the shine.

Repainted hubcaps with Krylon brilliant aluminum and painted steelies so it wouldnt show the rust behind them. Best 5 bucks I ever spent.

Repainted my hubcaps with Krylon brilliant aluminum....looks fantastic. Vibe never looked better 8-) Also replaced my lift supports, LED license plate bulbs and in process of getting windows re-tinted. Vibe is getting some TLC at 220K :D

Thx for the reply 8-) I eneded up sticking to the OEM tire size, I didnt want to sacrifice the ride. After 10 years of owning the VIbe and finding a "quieter" tire....im sticking to my formula :lol:

No adapter box...I purchased a Scosche SLC4 unit but Crutchfeild said I didn't need it. HU is a Kenwood KDCX597 front speaker are Polk DB651-S and rears are the DB651. Thx for the reply :D

I haven't posted in a while but I think my M&T amp is going bad. I have a Kenwood HU with Polk DB651 speakers front and rear. Recently just the front speakers sound VERY distorted even at low volume ( 1 ) :lol: At first I noticed it from the left speaker, but I did a visual inspection...no crack...

After a couple of weeks banging on the glove box to get it started, it was time to replace the blower motor. 30 min start to finish. Definitely one of the easieist repairs I have done on the Vibe. TYC replacement for 40 bucks on Amazon 8-)
