Glad that it survived so well and she walked away from it. Makes me feel better that my almost 1 year old son is either in my Vibe, his mom's Vibe or my sister's Vibe for nearly all of his travels.

Just a followup on my own mileage:It's all the driver. I paid very close attention on the last four or five tanks and went easily to 32+mpg. Tighten that loose nut behind the wheel and things get dramatically better!

Clean! I wish my wife's 2007 Abyss was that clean (though it might just be your photo). Hers seems to suck up rock chips on the hood like a vacuum.I still need to convince her to get a tint. Abyss Vibes look great with a tint.

It's a favicon, but most likely it was one from a totally unrelated site, but your browser cache had some corruption, hence it was displaying on the wrong sites.Nothing to be scared about in itself, but I'd be concerned using IE in general due to security issues.

Welcome!I was also a prior W-Body L67 owner. I had a 1998 Regal GSX (clone, mild mods). I miss the power and the size of the old Buick, but I do love the hatch and interior space of the Vibe, plus you can't beat 30+ mpg.

Yeah, I'd agree -- the Vibe's interior is far from "washable" though it's certainly easier to clean the trunk area than other cars.As for getting the feta out, I'd try a shop vac. I spilled a bunch of coffee all over my passenger seat, and I managed to get it out pretty easily. A good size...

I stopped going to our local Home Depot because they only have one human checkout lane, for "contractors" and the rest are automated.I work in technology, so I use it all day long, but for some tasks, having a human that can interface with the machine makes the process so much faster.

Since I got my 2008 Vibe I've tracked every drop of gas that goes in it (I bought it with about 27K on it).29,212 miles I've put on it so far. An overall average of 28.7 mpg. I probably do 60% highway, 40% city, but my regular commute to work includes a moderate grade (5% I think) over about a mile....

So I've been using the TYC blower for about a month now. It's been fine.A bit more motor noise than the factory blower, particularly at low speeds, but no chirp/squeak/squeal at all, and at $41, I can't complain about the price. I'm a happy camper again.

rmckinjr, it may have been mostly designed by a Japanese company, but it was built in the US, by US workers (minus a few drivetrain components).It's probably more "American" (in terms of where the dollars end up) than most US brand cars that are built in Mexico or Canada.

Me too! I got mine from Amazon for $41 + free shipping.I installed it this weekend. It has a bit more motor noise than the old GM/Toyota blower, but it doesn't have that infernal squeak/squeal.

BadBrew, no luck on the fix. It lasted a few days, then started squeaking/squealing again. I think I'm going to try one more time, then order a non OEM one from RockAuto (about $40).

Yesterday I pulled the blower motor out and shook a few leaves out of it. I also took it apart, and used a little tri-flow lube to see if I could stop the squeaking.So far so good, but I've only driven it about 10 minutes. We'll see in the coming weeks how it holds up.

On our vibes (all 2003-2008 models) we have a set of the factory crossbars that I can install on any Vibe in about 20 minutes. Then I strap on about a six foot Thule clamshell that my dad found on Craigslist fairly cheap.Works like a charm once you add the OEM crossbars.

I keep fairly close tabs on my fuel on my 2008, and the largest fillup I've ever done was 11.599 gallons (probably 30 miles after the warning light came on). I always let the auto-shutoff define when I stop pumping.
