Re: Horn Button Adjustment

Thanks for the reply! Ground Wire? I don't recall seeing a ground wire. There was a plug and wire connected to the cruise control handle. Is this wire the ground wire? The horn does work if I really lean hard on it. I was thinking that maybe I need to build up the contacts (those 3 copper contacts o...

Horn Button Adjustment

Hello everyone! I replaced my steering wheel with a used one from a junk yard. It fits fine, my original air bag slips right in without issue and all is great except the horn contacts do not work. The top left and bottom contacts do not work and I have to really press super hard on the top right one...

Broken Door Latch Cable

Hi. I have an '04 Vibe and the drivers door latch cable broke. I went to the local dealer for a replacement and he wanted $60. I cant get myself to lay out $60. for something as simple as a cable, so I am looking for alternatives, cable repair/replacement ideas, any kind of help. For now, I have to ...

Re: (leemur)

I have an '04 Vibe and my gas pedal is sticky. It takes more effort than when it was new to press on it, and it kinda 'jumps' rather than glides smoothly. It does not get stuck, and it returns to idle okay. I called the dealer here who told me that it could be carbon buildup on the intake? He explai...

Re: (Sublimewind)

As far as I can tell, no. The HU does not have internal crossovers. There is nothing in the documentation about it.

Re: Do you know the Speaker Specifications? (Wolfman213)

I was hesitant to wire the tweeters directly to the HU output cause the mappings I had for the amp showed seperate tweeter outputs, so I thought that the tweeters might have been crossed over inside the amp I removed...

Speaker Wiring Cornfusion

Hi. I just replaced my HU and removed my faulty stock amp. The HU replacement was fast, easy, and flawless... I have a 2004 Moon and Tunes (no navigation) system in my Vibe (I should say HAD)... anyway... When I removed the amp, I had to jumper the speaker wires at the connector, rather than cut wir...

Do you know the Speaker Specifications?

Does anyone know the speaker specifications for my 2004 Vibes' Moon and Tunes (no navigation) speakers and tweeters? I put in a new HU, removed the faulty stock amp, and wired the four speakers at the amp connectors. I want to build a crossover now for the front tweeters. I would like to know where ...

Suggestions for replacement M&T HU?

Looks like I need to replace my 2004 Moon & Tunes Stereo with an aftermarket one. The front channels on my amp died. GMPartsDirect.com has a replacement for $375.00. I figure I could buy a replacement system for that much, so the big question. What aftermarket HU do you think is the best for the ...

Re: Replacing horn... (ragingfish)

I went to Harbor Freight, and bought their car horn which is 2 horns. Wired them up according to their instructions, and replaced the stock beeper in my Vibe (2004). They work fine. I kinda wish I had Cadillac horns like another poster here! I had to improvise a bracket to get the two horns onto the...

Re: Moon & Tunes Radio (kunkstyle)

Yes, I lost about half mis display like 3 days after the warranty was up! The dealer was nice and replaced the radio for me anyway. But talk about timing, huh? It seems like everything manufactured today has a life and is disposable afterwards. i want to open a "Fix-it" shop, but I am sure...

Re: Moon & Tunes Radio (GMJAP)

What about the 'security codes' that you need to put in when you replace a radio? Is there an easy way to do this? Can it be disabled?

Re: (zt9)

Why would you think that the speakers are bad? Both speakers went out at the same time. I was under the assumption that the problem was the amp or radio itself. It made a few horrid crackles really really loud before they died. First nice Saturday we have, I am going to have to test the speakers!

Re: (Sublimewind)

Hi! I just read this thread, and it is almost an exact duplicate of the problem I am having with my Moon and Tunes setup. I have an 04 Vibe base with the Moon and Tunes audio. I always play my music loud, I like it that way. One day I noticed a crackling sound from the front speakers. It went away. ...
