Are the upstream and downstream sensors on the GT the same? I typed in the Toyota part # for the two sensors and it comes up the same sensor, DENSO 2344233. Thanks.

Ok, they say not to use an impact wrench on the top nut, which makes sense. Dont want to damage the insides. But, how do you actually tighten it then? Yes, those rubber seal thingys between the top hat and the spring itself are needed. Keeps the vehicle from making all sorts of crazy popping and banging noises if they were metal against metal. The oil level is fine and hasnt been that long between changes. It's about due for an oil change about now. I've always used 93 or 91. Im gonna try oil change andcleaning that screen/filter. If that doesnt do it, i'll try the two sensors there.

The state of PA requires a working odometer. If it isnt working, no matter what, it wont pass. The mileage is reported on a computer to the state, so you cant just add another speedometer. I just went and finally found an 04 GT cluster on eBay a month or so ago. For anyones future info, if you have an 03 GT and want the newer cluster, you only have one option, thats the 04 GT cluster. 05+ wont work.

Trying to find a 04 GT or an XRS only speedometer is almost impossible. lol There was one on eBay but no top shots. Asked the seller for a top picture or if it had one or two connectors and they never answered. :roll:

All the clusters on eBay that are marked as '04+ GT (If they really are) that I looked at all had the second connector. Maybe the US based GT's are different with the connectors than the base?

Also, did you reprogram the mileage yourself or through a dealer? Cost?

Ok, turned out to be the caliper. I took the hose off and tried to compress the piston and it didnt move easily. It's covered under warranty, so Im happy. Just have to buy new pads and mostly likely a rotor.

Found an engine out of an 03 matrix XRS with 112k on it for $1500, 30 day warranty. I was quoted $1200 to $1500 for install plus fluids and such.

Considering I just had the top half rebuilt after bending some valve rods, is it worth it to have the bottom rebuilt or just buy a used 2zz? Just an update....if you EVER get a low compression code and it turns out to be bent valves, get ride of the car. It's been two weeks since my car has been in the shop and it's going to cost over 2G's. Unless you have the time, space and know how to do it yourself, trade it in.

Yeah, I'm getting it welded. It should last the rest of the cars life. :lol:

Also, it's the real deal. I emailed Magnaflow and they said thats the new design. They did away with the flanges. :)

It's throwing a P0303 code.

BTW, it isnt the spark plug either. I'm hoping it's a faulty injector. I have an appointment monday morning to have it checked.
