Hey everyone,It's been a while since I've been on here since I traded in the GT back in July for my Infiniti FX35. Well I want to get new brakes all around on the truck and asked for people's opinion on the forum I go on, and they were no help compared to everyone on here that I have received in the...
Just curious to see if anyone on here bought my Vibe GT. I traded it in at the end of July last year at Pauly Toyota in Crystal Lake, IL. It was an 03 Vibe GT, abyss two-tone, lowered, debadged, & CAI.Hope it is in good hands!
I had a JVC KD-HDR50 in the Vibe before I got rid of the car. Was a good radio, could change the colors of the buttons (the orange matched the Vibe perfect). It has built in HD and has a usb on the front. And you can buy an accessory to have the BT thru the radio. I liked it a lot... might be puttin...

since I have moved to IL from WI a couple months ago, I have seen A LOT of Vibes, not even close to how many I'd see in WI. Maybe I'm just noticing them more often now that I am without my Vibe...I do agree about the Culvers... the one by my work in Palatine is CRAP.

Quote, originally posted by BlueCrush »Sorry to see the Vibe go. Was there anything wrong with it? Nice Upgrade! Look forward to more pics. No, nothing really wrong with it. Mileage was up over 114k, so that was about it. Just wanted something a bit larger and more power. Plus I was just really sick...
Recently I've been lookin around for a new vehicle. Last Thursday I found the one I wanted and I bought it (and traded in the vibe) last Friday. I bought an 05 Infiniti FX35. It has 62k on it and is pretty much a base model. Has RWD so should be interesting in the snow... needs new tires so some Bli...
Well I've never dealt with State police. And I have never had an out of state ticket, so I don't know how the points work. I can only assume that no matter what the ticket will hit your insurance. If you show up to court, the judge will probably lower the ticket, and the points if applicable. I coul...
One common misconception is that the FX35 and the Murano are same when they are actually not. The FX is based off the G35/350z while the Murano is based on the Altima/Maxima.I ran a Carfax and it comes back clean, two owners total.
And I know what many of you will think, that is very pricey when I could buy a brand new Vibe for less than that. I love my Vibe and all, I like the new ones a little bit, but not enough that would make me want to buy one. My current Vibe is gettin up there in miles, but still has plenty of life in ...
Well I called Esurance today to get a quote on the vehicle that I am looking at buying (see my other thread posted). They re-ran my credit report and my insurance was lowered about $80. So for the Vibe, my monthly payment is about $155 now compared to the $237 I was paying. YAY!As for what everyone ...
What's everyone's take on these? I saw there was a couple threads dating back to 03 regarding these, but not much info on the threads...I've been thinking about trading my Vibe for one of these. I found one I like, an 04. It's got the Sport Package, which includes the 20" wheels (has brand new ...
Anyone have any tips on getting a lower insurance premium? I currently have Esurance. I've shopped around and they seem to have the best price for me. One major problem with them is that if I do a quote online, exactly how it states my current policy is (driving record, coverage amounts, etc.), it s...
I just moved from WI, so I may be able to give some advice. Just have a few questions...1. Department issuing the ticket?2. Location?3. How fast were you over?
I bought that one with the HD Radio about a month or two ago. Much better than my previous head unit. Love the option to change the colors of the display too... the orange matches the dash color perfectly. Sound is great. Love the HD stations here in Chicago.
There are a couple body kits available. Search ebay. All of the body kits that are out there are for 03-08. They will all have the 05-08 grill style, there are no body kits that keep the 03-04 grill.Your other option is to find the GM Sport Kit, which a few people around this site have. But they are...
Most Vibe's came with 16" rims, the 17" rims were an option. If you get some 16" rims, you just need to get a lil larger tires to compensate for the difference in the rim size. If you go into the Rims and Tires section, there is a good tire size calculator that you can enter in your c...
I was leavin work and saw a Frosty (03-04) with black rims (think they were 5 spoke) heading west on Woodfield Rd by the mall. Right around 4pm, maybe a lil bit before. Anyone?
I bought the vinyl inlays for the PONTIAC on the hatch and also the vinyl decal for the arrowhead on the front. Good quality stuff in my opinion. Cut was perfect for the items I purchased. I can't really say how the fitment would be for a larger item like the radio bezel though.
I bought some Tein S-Tech lowering springs on Ebay (be careful for fakes if you look). I just mounted the springs on the stock struts and have had no problem. This was done at about 89k on my 03, and I now have ~109k. NeverEnoughAuto is a great source for buying products for our cars. They are great...
Well you can now officially add me to the Illinois Roll Call. Ignore my post up top, here's the new info!Dan / Elgin / 23 / 03 GT / Abyss two-tone(soon to be monotone)

Sorry to hear about your misfortune with the old tires, but congrats on the new rubber!I had a similar problem, pulled up to my apartment, and heard air leaking from one of the tires. Quote, originally posted by hndlthis »Oh, and what kind of wiring harness do I need to install? You have a hitch installed, but there is no wiring harness? Usually they are installed together.... ?PS... Use the search function on the website, plenty of people have talked about towing before
I did not install anything for the camber when I installed my Tein S-techs. And I have had no problem in the year that I have had it dropped. I recently went and had the alignment inspected and everything was fine.IMO, not necessary. But others may chime in with other experiences.

I believe someone else said it on another thread somewhere on the site here, but maybe the reason why GM doesn't want to sell Pontiac compared to selling Hummer/Saturn, is because once the economy comes back and GM is stable, they would still have the rights to Pontiac and could bring it back to lif...
This is really sad. Such a shame that they would get rid of a great brand to save another brand that is big in another country. (I know its been said a million times) What do we need GMC for? And have Saturn and Hummer been purchased yet, is anyone even interested?? They really do not realize how mu...
On my 03, I do not have the lights on the mirror... but on the front lights (with the moonroof controls on the unit), have never (since I have owned it) come on with the doors open. Oh, that is pretty short notice...I've got class to train my dog on Sat mornings, work Sunday afternoons, plus I don't know when I'll be completely moving to IL... So unfortunately I doubt I will make it to the Dells...Sounds like a good time too...
Thank god! I'm moving to IL within the next month, and I'm just waiting to get a hard time for the tint on my windows... *knock on wood* of course, my tint is still darker than the 50%...
That is amazing. I LOVE that car.Too bad it doesn't have a full VIN, and therefore can't be titled. Also, since it is a concept, it probably is not up to emissions standards and is not street legal. Like it says on the auction, its for a COLLECTOR.
