The current replacement cat on there is not a CARB compliant cat (my bad for ordering the wrong parts because I don't live in a CARB state, but my Vibe is CARB emissions :roll: ), so that could explain why it's hitting the threshold so often...

Pull the dipstick and check the fluid level and color- it should be bright red, not smell burnt, and have no metallic bits. Ask if he ever had it changed. If he did, did he do it himself? If so, did he change the filter? The U341 transmission has a filter that should be replaced.

Uh, you mean the overflow tube that goes to the coolant tank? The radiator only takes in coolant from the tank when the system needs additional coolant. If you have no leaks, it won't suck more in.

What problem are you trying to solve?

Sorry, I don't know about your rear caliper having two bushings. The Toyotas I've worked on only have one pin with a bushing. Can a 2nd gen owner chime in here please?

Also, what is a 1SA? Is that the same as a GT? Is there a difference in rear caliper?
