Unfortunately, in Ontario failing to report accurate mileage on a car is a fine worthy offense. Also if there is an inoperable odometer when the mechanic safeties the vehicle some of them may not pass it.

damn it I found the part, bought the tools and now it is not making any noise. My buddy who is a GM tech said sometimes rock or road salt will get in make noise for a couple days then get ground out so no more noise. I will still take the parts but I will not worry unless it starts up again.

No I do not think it is a belt issue as soon as I hit the on button on the dash for the A/C the noise goes away. I will be changing the belt anyway.

Hotchkis rear sway bar

I recently put on a Hotchkis rear sway bar on and I find that I am continuously having to re-torque the bolts holding it in place. I torqued the bolts to 144 ft/lbs and used Lock-tite blue.Am I missing something?I know a baboon could tighten two bolts but should I have replaced them?

No worries. I have been wanting to do a disc swap for a while now just have been lacking the time to do it. After the repair we put 3800 km on the car in a week. Not a single click.

They were repeated clicks during braking. I took it to my mechanic and the drums were slightly out of round. I think it may have been due to me ditching the car about a month ago. He machined then then 30.00 later it was all good.

No abs and no pulsation in the pedal. The car does not pull either and the brakes do not feel any differently.

clicking noise from rear

I just recently noticed that under moderate or heavy braking there is a clicking noise coming from the rear of the Vibe. I pulled the back wheels off and did not notice anything unusual. I am out of ideas as what it might be. Does anyone else have any ideas?

All of the front wheel drive cars that I have worked on it was easiest to remove the left side suspension and pull it out through the wheel well. Just make sure that the engine is supported properly so that the motor does not flop around in the engine bay.

This may sound dumb so please forgive me. A staff member of mine just had something similar happen. She got into her car and both bulb burnt out at the same time. The brights work but no regular beams. I would at least change one bulb and see if that works.

Is it advisable to use a Clay Bar on the windows of a car?Some one painted a truck this summer in my neighbourhood and the car got overspray on it. The clay bar took the overspray off of the paint but I still have it on the windows.

I think that the resistor uses different resistors inside it to drop the voltage to the fan to give it variable speed.
