My 09 2.4 with 5 speed automatic had the same issues and my GM dealer reprogrammed the transmission with updated software and it was like a different car much better shifts no more surging forward when coming to a stop.

Thats the exact same issue I am having with my 09 vibe with 52,000 miles.I had it checked by the dealer a they said it was the sway bar links they replaced them still the same low speed rattle on rough roads. Now they say the steering column needs to be replaced. I really messed up by trading my 03 ...

The one with the 14MM drain plug on the passenger side of the car.The transmission drain plug is smaller the the engine oil plug.

The dealership reprogrammed my transmission when I went in to do the gas pedal recall. I can tell a vast difference in the down shifts at stops. I'm a lot happier with my 2.4l five speed auto vibe now.

I'm using Q Horse Power 5w 20 in my 09 2.4L Vibe with 31,000 miles and just changed the oil at 30k at the 5k interval with very minimal oil loss. I drive fairly aggressively.

My 09 is the same exactly speedometer reads much faster than you are going. Verified with GPS. I just run 80 on my speedometer and I am fine.

I put 124,000 miles on my 2003 1.8 AT vibe then traded for a 2009 2.4 AT Vibe. The 2.4 is a far superior motor for Interstate driving but for around town the 1.8 would be fine.

Spray some WD40 in the key hole and work the key gently back and forth this should work. Toyota locks tend to freeze up if not used for a while.

I lost my first center cap two weeks ago from one of my chrome clad 09 wheels. The Pontiac dealership installed four of the superseded caps a week after I notified them of missing a cap.

Rotate tires every 5,000 miles and be sure they cross the back wheels to opposite front side when rotating. My 03 Vibes tires where shot (cupped) at 14,000 miles from not rotating until 10,000 miles. The Vibes will cup tires like 4WD trucks do if not rotated.

I've just put 13,500 miles on the clock of my 09 2.4L auto Vibe and just gleaned 29 mpg mixed city and highway driving. My mileage keeps improving as I put more miles on the car.

Your 09 Vibe comes from the factory with Toyota red antifreeze all ready in the cooling system. You should be good for at least 30K miles.

I was driving my 09 Vibe 2.4 and a Neon SRT pull along side me at a stop light on a four lane highway. Went the light changed I stood on the accelerator and the Neon pulled away like I was standing still. I feels bad to be owned by a Neon!

I like my OnStar and XM radio and the built in phone a lot.The phone works very well using voice commands so I can keep both hands on the wheel on the twisty NC mountain roads that I drive every day.
