Re: FOR SALE: 03 6-spd base $2,900 OBO

i guess it comes down to someone who knows how to drive a stick or not. Shifting normally, you could never tell this car has a poo'd synchro. It's only if you are super slow shifting and let it rev down to idle that it won't stay. otherwise, everything is perfectly fine with it. Could drive it anoth...

it has been asked many times. anything is possible with money. but sooo much has to be changed, just sell yours and buy an AWD. You will be light years ahead on saving money. Congrats on the new to you AWD! As an owner of a 2005 AWD, I consider this the "mileage sweet spot". The Vibe is at cruising speed, i.e., not accelerating or accelerating very slowly, thus there is no need for higher rpm. If you press harder on the accelerator, the Vibe will drop gear and...

AWD issue at ~40mph

I recently picked up a higher mileage 2006 (136k) AWD. The car is an immaculate one owner in great condition. The one issue i have noticed is around 38-41mph when in high gear (OD i think), the engine turns around ~1500 and it seems to lug the motor. I have only have stick 1zz cars up until now so i...

if you already changed your cat and end up with a P0420 code, your next stop is a new downstream 02 sensor. I just replaced mine on my 03 and was able to finally pass emissions. If you still have troubles, you can use a non-fowler extension with a few bits of steel wool. This takes a little patience...

my last vibe (07 5spd) got me a couple 440+mile tanks. My current 03 base, particularly with the 6 speed swap has only gotten over 400 once. I also tend to drive too aggressively and my mileage is regularly 27mpg instead of low 30's.
