Re: my turn - wrecked '06

Well that's all she wrote folks :-( the frame is bent at that front corner. Everything on the front end was pushed sideways more than in. I just picked up her tags. I'm taking the buyout for my sanity. We already have one project car in the family, so I'm getting a new car. Should I post the VIN so ...

I didn't check the lights or signals, but pretty sure the ac worked fine. I can't remember for certain if I drove home with it on,but I rarely drive without it. the car felt fine, up until 55mph when her front bits started flapping in the wind. I really believe she's fixable. This car has so much of my heart and soul poured into her, I just cannot think to walk away. Aside from flapping bits, I drove her home on the interstate and to the body shop fine, so she's mechanically sound, no leaks either. the shop guy remembered me from a year ag...

my turn - wrecked '06

I am heartsick! My baby might be a goner. A car collided with me on July 2nd as they were turning left across my lane. There was a work truck perfectly blocking our line of sight of each other, but the other driver was deemed liable (I had right of way). I'm currently waiting for the official estima...

Voltage drop at idle

Hey gang! Long time, no post :) My 2006 base Vibe just had the OE battery replaced a few weeks ago after a few slow turn-overs. Autozone load tested and said it was done. Fast forward to this week: I start my car, turn on the lights, then turn the a/c on and the lights dimmed. Hmmm! Alternator time?...

It might be the strut mounts. Look for movement of the top of the strut inside the mount as you jack up that wheel. See if the top of the strut can be moved around with the weight off the wheel. Holy Thread-surrection! I'm in need of these fasteners for the undercarriage shield... and my local Autozone doesn't carry the right size (only found panel retainers that ended up too large). Anyone have a Toyota part number, or a size to look for? I'll be your bestie if you even have a link :D TIA!

when will these GM dummies pull their heads out of their butts?! Look at the sales numbers of the Matrix and see what the Vibe could have been selling at had they marketed it properly. GM never gave the Vibe any love and it has always been treated like the red-headed stepchild Toyota birthed.
