anyone else think his air to fuel ratio is way off?and the only reason why your MPG droped so bad is cause u installed the lead foot optional package thats included in all GT vibes. its a simple theory of we have the HP, why not use it. i get 25mpg every tank, i could do 30 if i didnt know how to ha...
just have a freind with a video camera follow next to you at 5mph up to 100 and cut the tape into a few frames and compare the ground clearance at the 2 speeds and see if its noticable how much higher or lower it gets.
yeah the people who set up a coarse really look into alot of details to prevent any damage to anyone. so its probably not all that scary, just pointing out funny stuff
if your rim is 7" deep then 225/50 is right, if its 6.5 then i think they suggest 205/55. compare our stock 16" with 205/60 to the 225/50 on 17s, its like .3% difference.
same tires on mine in every way, at 40psi they were very smooth on turning and any bump i hit was as soft as i needed, but i have a stronger suspension. at 30psi when i turn if i let go of the wheel to let it center itself it does it way to fast and it feels horrible. at 35+ i liked the way felt all...
hey no one is allowed to look like Kitt before i do, and with my grill it probably wouldnt be hard either, if anyone can wire something up that i can connect to my remote so when i lock or unlock the car it makes the faded lights go instead of the turn signals i will pay out the (removed) for it.
pros walk it enough times to get it memorized and planned out before they even get in their car. autocross does so well cause unlike most races a pro does, these they have never been on, nor are they ever gonna get any practice on. adapting is just as critical as experience
with a short ram you cant run Hstock anymore so i would go with what i have, poteza re-01, treadware of 140, the lowest u can get for sts, and they cost half as much as racing slicks and last 4 times longer. as far as tire pressure thats an odd one. i run mine at 36 in the front cause after the firs...
its a waste of time, dbw was made to work better than a cable and i doubt GM/toyota would make one that lagged with any noticeable amount, all u have to do is adapt yourself to how u want to drive, if u need to get the rpms a bit higher then press harder and sooner, walla done
tell us about your setup. what kind of tires are you using. how stiff is your suspension. mechanical limits are about 60% tires, 30% body roll and 10% power. everyone says the driver is most important, but u cant quite tell how good you should be unless someone else shows you what your car can do.on...
i use to work with someone who had a cheap little stock civic 1.6L and his exaust was very loud, louder than if he had nothing, and it wasnt a good loud either. strait pipes i think sound great for a low rpm torque car. just some thoughts
if u read the link from new celica and then in there is another link regarding some actual testing on it. it seems that a few of their applications were indeed fraud as the calibration number did not change, meaning the data on the chip didnt change. and after that asking for a refund they were give...
the correct size for the tires on tirerack are still wrong for some applications. for our car on a 16x7" rim they recommend 205/55R16 when in fact the real recommended size is 225/50R16. sub, i do understand you should be cautious going outside the recommended sizes, but i dont understand what ...
ty everyone for voting for me, only took a few months of second place before it finally happened. the vibe meet was a blast, and i was able to learn first hand the quality of the cars that become a VotM. and the main reason im happy i won is now i have a year of peace, a year of no more staying up t...
based on price is what i would end up deciding, but the tire calculator says this about 17" rims with different sizes225/45=808 revs per mile205/50=804 (stock)235/45=796235/40=827245/40=816 -thats as far as you want to go, the tread will wrap around the sidewall alot, but it wont look horrible ...
225 is actually designed exactly for 7", so u can go up to 245 without a single problem, but i wouldnt recommend that on 18" rims cause the clearance is to low. but for 17 or 16" it will be just fine. just remember that you also need to decrease sidewall as you increase treadwidth so ...
i would get a intake you like and build the shield on your own, its not hard at all with sheets of aluminum and a saw blade for cutting soft metal. it can look unique and work very close to what the best can do. keep in mind the best options are designed by engineers for multi million dollar vehicle...
a little over half way down the page is a link to RSX people having problems with JET Chips. and its a really funny story about how nothing changed and the company giving people the roundabout with thier money. in the end its definitly not worth it unless i watch them do it and dyno the results befo...
because of the lack of competitors its hard to say how good they are. competition brings quality and price while monopolizing simply gives you the only option. in a sense were just paying for the research and development as the cost to do the remap is probably really cheap once the equipment is paye...
im seeing products not a reflashing serviceif i read it right it mounts something that tells the ECU the information it wants to. its different products depending on each company. the ones for toyota are completely different than the ones for ford or dodge. but it all looks like what any piggyback w...
http://www.jetchip.com/they have one for the matrix and its the same unit for any toyota so i dont really know if its all that great. they do have a dyno of a camry 2.2L gaining 11hp.opinions?

even without my stock airbox i hear about 2x the engine noise going from 3200 to 3600rpms while driving on highway, thats to maintain speed not full throttle acceleration.
(removed) im finnaly here at 6am, suposedly an fuel truck exploded on a highway in MD that caused an entire day of no highway in that part of I70 and caused us over 3 hours of delayswell see you all in about 5 hours
i know of this one really awesome monastary over in Vegas, i saw it on CSI, its great there cause they have all those tourist and u can be an instructor for crazy extreme sports things ur interested in. and if u ever get lonly u can buy a woman, cause me and my friends have a saying, it dosnt count ...
just look at ur time and speed, now u have a formula for acceleration. if your mph are higher then you have a HP based car that catches up at the end. if you have a lower time with a low speed you have a torque car that launches. based on the times and speed of the original post i would assume that ...
well theres 3 lights that are used to power the backlight our headunits and the center one of mine burnt out, so now daytime driving i cant see anything in the middle of the display and nighttime its dim but not a problem. this should be under warranty right?
correct me if im wrong but our cats suck once they get too hot, and those plugs burn much hotter, so im wondering if it just trigged that to quickly and the mileage came down with it.
i had no idea they were taken, i just saw a post on the racing forums about 2000 some pictures up from the ripken event and theres 3 pages of just my car. but these are the good ones
new pics up in my garage, check them out before you vote (they may be good pics of my ride, or pics of the other candidates rides doing naughty things, u wont know till u look)
in our area were mobbed with EVOs, STIs, Lotus, corvettes, and those damn little minis. while i was only a second behind the best in sts we were missing the 2 guys who really do great, one of them is about 5th of 250 in the total pax for the season.
hey guys theres an autocross race saterday aswell, so ill definitly be going to that (and own some ohioians), if anyone else wants to go just speak up ill send u the info
http://www.phillyscca.com/solo...N.HTMu guys should be able to read it i doubt its locked or anything. it shouldnt be to hard to find the only vibe on there, take a guess who was faster me or my brother.this time was definitly better than my last one, the difference tires make was insane. now i just...
