I'm bringing this back from the dead because I have the same problem. I have a bulb go out an average of once every 3 months. I've tried Sylvania, Hella, PIAA, Phillips...nothing makes a difference. Is there a TSB or known problem with Vibe electrical systems or something? I buy the cheapest lights ...

Re: (tcam)

Thanks for the comments! I pretty much decided on everything myself, based on a lot of research, advice, and monetary considerations. I didn't build it all at once either. It was turbo'd on the cheap with the stock motor for two years before I blew that up running a 13.1 and decided to go big or go ...

Re: (damronjr)

I'm not saying that's the reason the rod snapped, I'm just saying that if you care about wear and tear on the engine, it's highly recommended to wait til the motor warms up before "getting on it." Aluminum pistons expand alot faster than iron cylinder walls under extreme combustion heat/pr...

My "Other" Car (92 Integra)

There seemed to be some interest in my car when I posted a timeslip of it, and I didn't want to clog that thread any more so I decided to go ahead and make a separate thread about it.My Vibe is my daily driver (VibeDD) so I won't be doing much to in in the forseeable future. My Integra is the car th...

Re: (damronjr)

That is very strange. I don't know much about the strength of stock 1ZZ rods (I'm a honda guy) but I do know that is is very unwise to be boosting a motor before it reaches operating temperature. It drastically reduces the longevity of the motor do to the properties of thermal expansion.

Re: (drunkenmaxx)

Here's a vid of a pass I made before turning up the boost a couple lbs (disregard the "blackeclipse" in the filename, the guy who took the vid was on crack): http://www.hondaddy.com/Videos...6.wmvBasically just 1.8l vtec motor with new pistons/rods and 16 lbs of boost (14 in the video) wit...

I don't have a slip for my Vibe, and probably never will, but here are the results of my recent trip to the track with my Integra (left lane):

Re: TRD vs GM supercharger (damronjr)

WOW. I knew GM was shady, but I didn't think they were THAT shady. Would most of the parts from a Celica kit work?So Vibes and Matrixes have the same engine management I take it? Judging by the higher price of the GM kit, it would be a wise decision on their part to alter the electronics a bit so yo...

TRD vs GM supercharger

Okay, I'm sorry if this has been posted before but I was just curious as to what the difference is between the TRD "kit" and the GM "kit". Since the motors are the same between the two cars, is it basically just engine management or are things mounted differently because the engi...
