I prefer Pure One because it rated very high in particle filtration in an article I read several years ago. I use the GT filter because is has a higher capacity, even though I don't have a GT. I don't know if it really makes any difference. I'll use other brands if they come with an oil change speci...
Can anyone help me find the the link that describes how to change the speed transmission oil? I tried using the search feature with no luck. I'm mostly looking for the pictures with the locations of the drain and fill plugs. Thanks.
I live about 50 miles inland from the Virginia coast. We've had much worse here in the past. I'm not too worried. I have gas for the generator. I'll get some extra food. I don't expect to have to go to work on Monday.
I friend gave a CD With Malwarebytes. I loaded that on my PC. I had free AVG on my last computer, but something managed to get through and screw it up. I was looking for an excuse to get a new PC anyway. I would like to keep this one intact for a while.
We use Norton Internet Security (NIS)...the "clicking" sound is probably the Microsoft 'security' trying to tell you that it "thinks" the program you've clicked on has a virus or bug or something. If you KNOW the program is OK, simply override the MS security by right-clicking o...
I was able to buy only the motor, but yes, I thought I was going to have to buy the entire essembly, which made no sense to me at all. The only reason I bought the motor without the assembly is that the motor was in stock locally I couldn't afford to wait for the assembly to be shipped. I needed my ...
I just recently had the same problem. I went to the Toyota dealership to get my new one. They had it in stock. None of the autoparts stores or the GM dealership did. I just saw your post today, or I would have tried to help sooner.
Does anybody know the brand name of the primer that makes cars go faster? I see all these Hondas driving around that have the big goofy mufflers and are painted in primer. I figure the primer has to make those Hondas go faster. Why else are they all painted that way?
I've bought used tires before when I was broke and needed to pass inspection. I bought mine from a used tire store so they came with a 30 day guarantee. They lasted almost a year and got the job done. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get by.
So I put in new speakers and in the process of removing the window cranks I lost 3 of the little metal clips. I was doing the cloth method of removing the crank handles. Can I get these anywhere or should I go out and comb my lawn? That's favorite method. I actually did a post on it a while back. M...
As it turned out, I was able to buy only the motor from a local Toyota dealership. It took them one day to get it from the warehouse. The GM dealership couldn't get one for three days. some of the aoutoparts stores only had the entire shroud assembly listed and they couldn't even get that. Vibe is a...
Replaced the radiator fan. What should have been a simple 30 minute job turned into a 90 minute job. The heads on the three screws that hold the fan motor to the shroud stripped out. I couldn't find my easy-outs, so I had drill out all three screws. Nothing is ever easy.
My radiator fan stopped working. The local auto parts stores can't seem to get one any time soon. I guess I'll have to order one. Is there a difference between the Automatiic and manual transmission assemblies? Rock Auto has these assemblies for under $100.00, but I'm skeptical because they're so ch...
Thanks, I'll check them out. Nice Duster BTW :!: Thanks, she's coming along. How's your 63 project going? Pat Slow. Not much time to work on it in the summer. My Impala isn't in as good a shape as your Duster. So far I dropped the old gas tank and bought a replacement. I dropped the rear end so I c...
I am stuck in the 80s when it comes to music, mainly 80s Hair Metal. All I really listen to anymore is SiriusXM Hair Nation (channel 39). Queensryche LA Guns Poison Ratt Whitesnake Guns N' Roses Great White Tesla Warrant Jackyl Killer Dwarfs Dangerous Toys Motley Crue Kiss And many many more :D! Lo...
Has anybody tried any of the new rust removal products that are on the market today? I have some surface rust on the chassis of my Impala that I need to get of. Some of it is awkward places that I really can't get to with a wire brush or sandpaper, at least not well enough completely eliminate the r...
I tried Mothers Back to Black and didn't care much for it. I use a product by Eale 1 that I've been happy with. It's a spray on gel. The exact name escapes me right now, but it should be easy enough to find in any auto parts store that has Eagle 1 products.
Nice car. Love the color. I've owned at least one of every GM brand. Chevy is my favorite, but overall, I'm a fan of The General. Not say I don't appreciate the other American brands as well.
I have well water, too. It's worth it just to have water for showers and to flush toilets. I see used ones on craigslist all the time, if you don't want to invest in a new one.
We lost power for eleven day from Isabelle. I had a portable generator. It wouldn't power the entire house, but I had a fan, satellite TV, a lamp, the fridge, and showers! Lisening to that generator gets old, but not as old as no power.
I hate hurricane season. Sitting in your house for hours, usually without power, wondering if that next wind gust is going to the one that takes the roof off the house, or uproots a big tree in the yard. It's very stressful. It's the worst thing about summer. S.E. Virginia / Outer Banks NC. gets hit...
I had trouble getting my new account set up, but Mike got me straight. I was still lurking, though.
I'm still getting used to the new forum. I'm one of those people that hates change, but I'll get over it.
