Re: 19 mpg!!! What should I do?

I agree with zbyers, adding more parts will make it louder, but not much faster. Many performance parts for the 2ZZ engine are made to increase the engines numbers on a dyno or it's abilities when in Lift (Toyota's version of vtec). So things like exhaust and intake will help when at the top of the ...

Mine wasn't too loud when I changed the bearing. My Mom's Geo Metro was quite loud by the time we changed it, she had been driving (around town, never freeway) for a week or two. If you are going to replace the front one, then the rear one needs to be replaced at the same time. When accelerating and decelerating in a straight line you are loading the rear and front mounts. Thanks for the video. I like u/Lakeshore_Patriot's idea of looking at the exhaust. You might want to check the motor and transmission mounts, because they can cause excessive movement of the exhaust and cause an issue like that. However, the mounts themselves will not make this type of noise.

Is the check engine light on? If so can you get the codes scanned? A common issue on the early vibes is the gasket between the engine and intake manifold fails, which happened to my car. This is really bad. Don't use it in that condition. I'm surprised the fuse didn't blow, before causing this damage. This is likely caused by the motor drawing too much current.
