Heater / Blower Motor connector and resistor issue... normally it starts by affect one speed then total failure...sounds like it's melted away... don't forget to test blower motor draw afterwards not to allow it to happen again..

I have a very a similar issue on mine - grab the trim bezel around the speedo and give it a pull towards you away from you up or down and it should stop the noise,,, near as I can tell a bracket behind the trim is in contact with it and makes the noise...

A non GT hitch should work, same mounting points - the issue will be the clearance of the muffler - have a look at the exhaust at a non GT to see if there is a difference from yours - if not I'd try the non GT version - just a thought...I have an '09 hitch on a non GT from Curt and it works great......

Yeroc,Go to a local GM Dealer and check out their cross bars - much cheaper than Thule and they are made by Thule but with a GM Acc sticker on top of the badge..

I'm also in the biz and regardless what anyone says the manufacturer of everyday vehicles, want three things in their rubber supply - quiet / fuel economy / quality - nothing to do with longevity - you need to keep that in mind with OE tire... don't base a decision on a brand from one model...

Yeah I think I'm going to order them, there has been a few sets of Conti's in the family and never an issue to speak of and always great quality and performance... Yeah I kinda laughed at the wear indicators also but that's not the reason I'm getting them...

Yeah I saw that pic in the search I did, I used your dimensions to justify the 1600 - it's pretty close overall but 16" longer,,, So it looks like you have it pushed all the way back - so did you have to remove the antenna ? and the hatch opens ok ?Cheers

The set of Pontiac Chromed ones at 2.25" (too small) is a plastic inner and an aluminum outside cover that has 4 tabs that wraps around the shoulder of the plastic - so if the Toy's are similarly made there ain't no sanding... I may just get a set of Toy caps not sure yet will continue to look ...

Can anyone help, I bought a set of 17" TRD rims and want some center caps - figured it was as simple as picking up some Pontiac ones for a G6/G5/SV6 whatever but I bought a set on EBay and tehy are too small,, the ones that I found on all the other Pontiacs are 2.25" and the TRD cap needs ...

My Dad was running 195/??R 15s on his '06 AWD no problem other than looking tiny in the wheel well...he got his steelies from a VW since most of the newer ones run 5/100 also... Cheers

Sorry can't help on 1st gen but if it's anything like my '09 Curt square tube it's completely 100% hidden,, I can you pics after the 24th once I get back home if you want to see....PS my Dad's '06 AWD Reese square tube is not as well hidden as mine...Good Luck.

Well it's official I picked up my rims today (TRD 17") - now for some rubber... Toyota Sale Price $75CDN/ea and the Dealer threw in a set of wheel locks - tax in out the door $336CDN - and they have one set left...and if you're nice I'll tell you what Dealer - it's near Vancouver.. Cheers Thank...

Well I have the 12228 Curt now installed and it's great on my 2009 FWD 1.8L - no rattles lots of clearance between the tailpipe and hanger..and Curt includes a tow bar which is a nice bonus - great product quality I kept thinking the powder coating was wet...oh and you can't see anything hanging dow...

I did it a few years back - I believe there was one maybe two screws not many - then if you have the proper tool or pry bar pop the two bottom corners out and pull panel away from door as you are lifting it in the upward motion,,, Should be pretty simply... make sure to seal the door up very well so...

Best thing to remove glue residue is WD40 - I have used it many times on paindt and it works like a dream,,,Spray it on let it soak and then come back and wipe off no rubbing at all.Cheers brbo

Oh BTW - the USB dock you noted above in error is available in the HHR - it's a USB plug in the radio to plug your memory stick into if you have MP3's on it,, shame you can get it on the Vibe smart idea only on the HHR currently...

The Base radio can be upgraded to the GT Base Radio and also add the Premium Pkg, the GT upgrade can only add the Premium Pkg to upgrade... make sense? Good to hear you tried it out - I was more just suggesting you find out where the noise was coming from rather than complete diag.. At least now you know and your wallet shouldn't hurt as much....make sure you put synthetic gear oil in that rear diff while you are there... mine gets it's as often as...
