Hey ballrub, I still live in Flint. It is pretty much a GM ghost town. GMI is now Kettering U. and they own most of the land where Chevrolet Mfg. use to be (the hole). There is only one (plt4) building still standing down there and it is empty. The only other GM plants still operational in Flint is ...

I've had my Vibe 2 years next month. I can honestly say I have had not one quality complaint or warranty issue. There are many things I don't like about the car but it is reliable. My dealer prolly doesn't even remember me, I bet.

I took the bent Vibe in today to be repaired. The bill was $2700. and some change. Hopefully, I'll have it back by the weekend all bright and shiny without any deer hairs.

Re: Dealer decal

I insist the dealer doesn't put it on. If they forget, I make them take it off.If you do happen to have problems getting it off, a heat gun works good. I have had a few Chevy 4X4s and I always take the math problem off the rear quarter panel. I took the "CHEVROLET" off the end gate of one ...

Re: Your drive in to work this morning

It was white knuckle city in the Flint area. The Vibe disapointed me. Tire spinning and front end "wandering" was bad. Braking was not the best either.

Re: Frozen windows

The Vibe has this problem. My old GA/GT (2000) had it too. My Aztek doesn't seem to have this problem. The rubber weather strip freezes to the windows. Take a plastic knife out with you in the mornings. Carefully slip the knife between the window and weatherstrip and free it.

I got 28.6mpg on my first tank. This was a mix of city and highway driving. My 2000 GA/GT did better.

Yes. I thought it was because I smoke. I usually start out in the morning with the defroster on and fresh air intake and heat. I switch to the air conditioning and recircutale when I get out of work in the afternoon. The smell doesn't seem to be there when the air conditioning is on.

Re: Is Vibe a Mini-Aztek ?

I don't really know if the Vibe is a mini Aztek but I like them both. My first thought after seeing the Vibe was that Pontiac refined the looks of the Aztek somewhat. After owning both I say they are two completely different cars. I have an 01 GT AWD Aztek that I truely love. It has every available ...
