Rock Auto rebates page shows $50 rebate on 2 KYB strut-plus units thru June 30. I missed out on that rebate, just finished installing my new KYB strut-plus struts last week. That spring looks like the type they put on the inside of seals, so yes, it probably belongs on the seal in the photo. You may be able to get it snapped back into place, but more likely will be purchasing and installing a new seal. I have no experience with removing Vibe axles, so I can't comment ab...

Mine does the same thing, but seemed to get better / less noticable after replcing the PCV valve. My PCV valve was completely stuck - no rattle or flow at all. You can try replacing yours, it is a reasonably low cost item. Just be sure to take your old one to the parts store with you. There is more ...

It doesn't look too bad until you see the door tweaked in the frame and not shutting properly. That would disturb me, and indicate it was a fairly disruptive hit. You will want the window to work. I have a 1999 Camaro SS that has a passenger window motor that goes down fine but only goes up an inch at a time, then stops until it feels like working again. Re: Door motor?

And yes, most GM parts centers don't hve a lot of Vibe parts left.
Search for Toyota Matrix parts and you will have better luck.
Most of the parts are identical between Vibe and Matrix, but with different part numbers.
The HVAC system, A/C compressor and later radios are unique between brands though.

For coolant, look for the Toyota Long Life Coolant. It's pink/red. OEM Toyota is what you want. Plugs-- most recommend either Denso or NGK plugs. Tranny fluid-- simply just do a drain and fill using the correct trans fluid. I believe the Castrol Multi-Vehicle is what is calls for. The coolant in th...
